Sp8Ball’s Mod Thread (Stealing Other Poster’s Ideas Since Mid-2010)

Sitting in 1st Mariner Arena...waiting for God to strike me down before NKOTBSB concert starts.

Edit: 7 minutes before the concert starts, and I'm just now finding out that the opening act is Jordin Sparks. Is it illegal to take bids on a "hit" if the target is yourself?

I'm not sure of I will be able to look at you the same again ...

Who the "F" is Ashlyne Huff? She and 4 skanky girls are singing and/or dancing on the stage BEFORE Jordin Sparks, so she sucks MORE than her, if possible.

It should be noted that her "DJ" is wearing a shirt with a gigantic "Ashlyne Huff" logo on it. That is NOT hardcore. In fact wearing that in America's most murdering city will likely get him killed as he leaves the arena. Hasn't this idiot seen "The Wire"?

So Gay

J/K

Yes, what a great idea. Let's throw salt in Sp8ball's wounds. I bet you'd kick a recently-clubbed baby seal while he's down. You're heartless.

Note: I'm on my third $8 (damn you, arena prices) beer. Hoping it will help with the pain.

Sorry, just having fun. No, would not kick a baby seal :hiding:

Jordin Sparks just took stage and arena started screaming. Was wondering if there was an assassination attempt, but it was just women/girls being excited to see her.

Women are hard to understand.

Man- I wish I was there but I promised the Wife I would aim my quad Hella setup on my new Gobi Stealth tonight. Damn! Bummer...

Jordin Sparks just dedicated the performance of her hit single "Battlefield" to the troops in Afghanistan.

Yes Jordin.- "love is like a battlefield, so we better go and get our rifle".

Love is just like a Battlefield - how thoughtful of you. Love comes complete with real bullets, roadside IEDs, jihadists, and a visit from SEAL Team 6.

How nice to be 19 and stupid.

(Or am I being too harsh?)

If I knew how to find the little smiley giving people the finger on my BlackBerry, I would insert it here.

This would be SOOO much more awesome if it was a New Edition reunion tour. Think about it:

Ralph Tresvant
Johnny Gill
Bobby Brown
Bell, Biv, DeVoe

I mean...seriously!

I think Sp8Ball is really just putting us on....he likes the BSB and NKOTB......otherwise, he would have told Mrs. Sp8Ball that the line was really, really long and the show would nearly be over after 3 beers...he probably has already purchased two t-shirts, all of the available CD's, and Lord knows what else....

Sp8Ball, come clean with your buddies, we promise we wont make fun of you anymore, just tell us the TRUTH!!So Gay

Love ya Sp8Ball!!

He's been texting me all night- I think he's hiding in the bathroom at the concert trying to keep his manliness intact.... wait that didn't sound too good, did it?

:lmao:

I just hope there nothing but manly men in there with him. Hopefully, there is 5 or 10 guys in there huddled around a small handheld TV watching a good sporting event.....

Sp8Ball just think, the wifey might be so giddy later on that she just may let you get lucky tonight! :guitar3:

You go guy! :thumb3:

Mike :artist2:

That would be hard to arrange since manly men don't go to see boy bands... ever. if there are 5 or 10 guys huddled around, chances are the game they are playing is spin the bottle.

Truth be told...I went to the restroom ONE time. As you can imagine - in an arena where there was (literally) a 100-to-1 ratio of girls to guys - it was a ghost town. I saw tumbleweeds blow across while I was in there. This ratio, however, was not lost on the ladies, as three of them walked in while I was standing at the urinal with my junk hanging out. They informed me that the line for the ladies room was too long. How nice.

Other notes of interest:

- It was about 140 degrees in the arena. It's never awesome when you have 15,000 women abandoning their mom duties to go see a boy band. They're going to scream, dance, "whoooo", and do whatever else their overflowing estrogen tanks tell them to do. All of these activities release heat, which finds me immediately and makes me sweat like that time I was on "To Catch A Predator"

- I was shocked at how many songs I recognized. Either frightening that I knew them, or an indication that they were actually successful 18 years ago. I'm more worried, though, that I knew 1.642%* of the actual lyrics.

- The show was...interesting. Quite the spectacle - lots of lights and pyro and dancing and stages lifting people off of the ground. They know how to make women act (more) like crazy people. I've never been to a concert where THE ENTIRE ARENA (present company excluded) went ape**** bonkers at every song and dance move, and when the band said "wave your hands" or told them to sing along...15,000 pent-up housewives obliged.

- I think I counted 8,428,397* minivans in the arena parking garage with "stick figure family" stickers

* - all numbers approximate

Interesting description. Although I've never watched the show, maybe this is representative of the Desperate Housewives popularity?

I don't know - that show is all about adultery and murder.

This show was all about idolatry and homemade puffy-paint shirts.

One more interesting note:

I was heading to a family cookout and pool party today, which took me in the general direction (east) of Antman's house. After a slight detour (30-40 miles), we just happened to drive past his house, and he happened to be outside working on the final touches to his Gobi Rack.*

After a brief series of hellos and "I'm just here to let Mrs. Sp8ball see what we were working on the other night" exchanges, we left after about 3 minutes.

Comments made in the truck as we pulled away (paraphrased):

"You really need a black rack since you got rid of all the chrome - it really stands out and looks out of place."

"That thing was really nice. And that ladder sounds neat! I want to stand on top of his truck."

"You need to do something to your rack until..." (and she stops speaking)

UNTIL WHAT, Mrs. Sp8ball??!!?? UNTIL WHAT!?!?

I think she might want a new Gobi/BajaRack for my truck!

(deep breaths...don't get hopes up...deep breaths)

* - this was not pre-planned through an elaborate series of text messages to confirm that Antman would be outside when we drove past (as far as Mrs. Sp8ball knows)
