It's a Party...A Mod Party!

The beautiful, intelligent, patient, and exhausted (by both Baby Sp8ball and my nonsensical tomfoolery) Mrs. Sp8ball has agreed to the Satoshi Grille Mod! Was it SeattleMike's photoshop job? I'm going to say it was.
Of course, the "agreement" came with some stipulations. Agreements that could be personally embarassing to reveal. In fact, at the end of our conversation she said,
"that's the deal - you don't have to tell anyone that's the deal, including all your internet friends - but that's the deal."
Because I started this thread as a beacon of truth, honesty, and modding, I will share the terms of our agreement.
The Backstory
Sp8ball is an ex-athlete (or so I like to tell people). However, life has caught up to me, and while I can sometimes convince myself that I look good, in reality I don't. I've gained about 25-30 pounds since college (15 years ago!), and I could stand to shed it. I lost a bunch of weight leading up to my nuptials with Mrs. Sp8ball, mostly because she's tiny and I didn't want to look huge next to her. I looked good! And then I immediately started gaining weight on our honeymoon.
Mrs. Sp8ball likes for Sp8ball to have a short beard in the winter months. It usually starts in the middle of football season, and always gets shaved on Easter - both to look nice for church and to mark the shedding of the beard for warmer weather - like bears and wolverines and stuff. Yesterday in the office, people said "wow, you look 5 years younger than last week". I also look 10 pounds heavier...

(Notice...he has
no beard. Weird.)
We have a new child, and she's concerned that my weight will start to have a negative effect on my health. She wants me around for the long haul. (because I'm a keeper?) And she's right...I need to get it under control. Particularly with bathing suit season right around the corner. Not to mention that I'm responsible for being a role model for our kids.
(can you see where this is going? It's pretty obvious, right?)
So here's the deal:
I can buy the Grille components
from MuddyYota, and pick them up from him this weekend (since we're not that far from DC).
But...I have to lose 15-20 lbs before I can install it! Vixen! What a devious plan! Now I'll have that Satoshi Grille hanging in my house, over the Wii Fit. I'll take pictures of it to the gym with me. I'll have Antman zip-tie it to the back of his T4R while I run behind it through our neighboring neighborhoods.
It's sweet that she cares about me, though. And I certainly don't want to wind up looking like this:
So...that puts us at the following:
- Color-matched door handles, interior door handle LEDs, cupholder and console tray LEDs, "always on" 12V outlet*, and 110V power outlet* install will go down in one massive, all-day, mega-photo-taking install session with Sp8ball and Antman, culminating in a cookout where Mrs. Antman and Mrs. Sp8ball coming together to join forces in mocking Antman and I and our mod fetish. (Timeline: This Saturday?)
- Ordered Putco Jet Yellow Fog Bulbs and Infinity Kappa Speakers yesterday, and both are inbound. If the speakers get here by the weekend, maybe Antman and I can tackle them as part of our mega-mod day. If not, we'll find time next week to do it, as it's not that intense.
- Hopefully I can set something up with MuddyYota, and pick up the Satoshi components and TE fog bezels this weekend. Those will get installed at the same time, and i'll probably wait to do the aforementioned fog bulbs at that time, too. (Timeline: when I lose enough weight that Mrs. Sp8ball is happy)
- Still planning to black out the roof rack end caps (or stealing Antman's when I help him install his Gobi Stealth, and painting
them black) (Timeline: Late May?)
* - time permitting, and if I have the parts to do the 110v outlet install
Then...it will likely be time for a break for modding. Both to relieve the stress on Mrs. Sp8ball and my wallet. What should we do with the thread when THAT happens? I'm open to suggestions...
