SP8--I just orderd my Kappa speakers tonight. I remember seeing a thread about someone installing bass blockers on them (even though they had a crossover built in). I can't find it, though.

SO my question is, are you having any bass trouble with these speakers? Should I worry about installing them?

These come with crossovers so it shouldn't be an issue.

I must confess that I have my XM on "Backspin" (ch 46) and "Shade 45" (ch 45) about half the time in my T4R...and i have had no issues. And if I was going to have issues with bass, it would be listening to those channels.

Secondly... Love the roof rack Antman. I didnt think they made one that hugged the roof that close. Looks really nice.

Thirdly... Has anyone figured out how to make the damn interior lights brighter when driving with the headlights on... Its driving me freaking crazy and I don't mean NKOTB crazy...... Antman... Miracle Worker of all that is awesome.... hint... hint...

I have identified the wires in the WD that are responsible for the "offending dim dash lights" but haven't done a test yet to confirm. i would love to have the option to change the orange to something else, like blue or red or something. Kind of a bummer that it's all orange.

Ironically, my wife just got around to sending me this picture from her phone:



Now, this is a horrible picture. But I dare to say that it's horrible because I am being subjected to the suburban America version of waterboarding.

My eyes look like I'm looking in 2 different directions. (In real life, I don't have this capability)

I look exhausted and/or defeated. (I am)

I have a beer. (this is good, despite the $8 price tag)

The flash takes the very slight amount of grey hair I have on my temples and makes me look like I'm 60 years old.

And it's 178 degrees in the building - and this is PRE-concert. BEFORE all the insane screaming begins.

I feel alone and sad at the time of this picture. Kudos to Mrs. Sp8ball for capturing the essence of my existence at that moment on digital media.

But dammit dammit --- I am NOT wearing a NKOTB/BSB/NKOTBSB shirt. I am rocking the TRD love.

Status Update!​

Thanks for all the well-wishes and kind words the last couple of days.

It appears that all is well and/or back to normal.

In fact...

She was very pleased that I didn't go to Antman's house yesterday to get the switch installed for the accent lighting (because she was upset and told me - at the time - "you better not go over there")...so she said, "Awww...that was nice of you. Go get the switch done."

Then I told her about the concert discussion, and she thought it was funny. She was also intrigued by the thought of humiliating me by posting a picture of me at the concert in a Toyota shirt, and was very intrigued about doing a mod that appears in my thread. Let's hope it doesn't involve anything "pink".

And...

She told me to get something for my truck for Easter.

I ordered this stuff April 22nd. The round TRD knob arrived quickly, and long ago replaced my 4WD shifter. The other TRD knob? Arrived yesterday - a month and a half after ordering it. And get this: it sucks!

I'll post pictures later (maybe), but it looks like dog crap. There's glue residue in various locations where they spilled glue when attaching the crappy TRD badges on the side.

Oh, and it doesn't fit a 4Runner...despite being advertised as such.

I'm SOOOOOOOO pissed.

Lesson Learned: Don't order stuff off of eBay that comes from Thailand (AOT-Speed)
