Spacers coming off tomorrow!

I only planned to put on my new Bajarack on my 2014 trail this morning which went really well and I love it! I had a buddy come over and by the time he got here all we had to do was lift it into place and bolt it down, it looks grrreat! But my friend knew I had the 1 1/4" spacers that I had ordered off of eBay and convinced me to put them on. I was undecided about them since I had read a lot of negative reviews but figured the only way to know for sure was to try them for myself. They are not hub centric and over 50mph they wobble pretty bad not to mention the rubbing on the wheel wells and mud flaps. The tires are brand new 265/70/17 Toyo open country mt's and they were solid as a rock before. The vehicle is stock and I have no plans on doing a lift, I just thought the spacers would look good and they do but I'm not sacrificing ride for looks! Maybe spider tracks would have worked better but I'm sure I would still have the rubbing.

You are brave! I would not attempt to even ride in a vehicle using non hub centric spacers. All the weight is on the bolts and not the vehicles hub itself. This will eventually lead to a bad situation.

Vehicle looks good though!

You might want to consider purchasing some wheels with a -10mm offset this will give you the look that spacers give you with oem wheels.

Throw the spacers in the trash and do not even think about replacing them. your 4runner will look just fine without them.

Yes I know you are right, I was just trying to get off cheap. I already blew my budget on my roof rack,sliders and a bunch of other little goodies. The spacers were an impulse buy before I really did any research. Thanks for the advice though maybe next year, black rims really look good.

Yeah, I would stay far away from any Ebay Spacers. The only brand I really stick by is SpiderTraxx and AllPro because they are proven by professionals, which isn't much of a guarantee but if they are willing to slap them on competition trucks they must be worth something.

No more spacers for me no matter who makes them, just ain't worth the risk. I only drove about 10 miles with them on. I hope I didn't create any problems. I shouldn't have though I put them on right and everything was torqued up good.

I just put some spider trax on and proceeded to put 2600 miles on my truck in the following two weeks driving all over Colorado at speeds up to 85 mph on I70 with zero vibrations or issues. I was actually pleasantly surprised at the difference in handling the spacers made. Truck feels much more planted, and stable. Granted I put my 285 summer tires back on at the same time, so it could be a little of both.

I must say the ride did feel real good below 50mph before I felt the wobble.

Stick a little more and do a leveling kit instead. These trucks need some height.

10-4 on the lift but it's gonna have to wait till next year, already spent enough with tires, roof rack and sliders.
