Speaker Advice..

Does anyone know if a 6 3/4 inch speaker would fit in the rear doors or tailgate on a TE? (I will assume I will need an adapter if they will fit)

I upgraded the front and dash speakers, but looking to fill the audio hole in the back...

I am considering these Focals on Crutchfield: Focal Access 165CA1 6-3/4" 2-way car speakers at Crutchfield.com

Currently, I am running Bostons in the front from the OEM HU. I will need to amp these at some point..

They should fit fine. You would have to fabricate a speaker mount or you can take apart the factory speaker. I dremeled out the factory speaker and used the base as a mount for my 6.5's. There was plenty of room with my 6.5's so you should be fine if you decide to go that way with your focal's 6.75's









I also dremeled out (trimmed) the inside of the door panel for extra clearance.

I amplified all my speakers. 2ch for the front doors 4ch for the rear doors and the hatch. mono amp for a sub all mounted under the front seats.

You should replace all the stock speakers if you plan on replacing any of them. You can see how weak they are in the pictures above. Basically, I don't think it is a good idea to only replace or amplify certain speakers. All or none in my opinion (unless your adding a sub only).

I have a 12 W6, I love the way it sounds. Such a great sub!
