Speed Sensor Issue

I know there’s a ton of posts on this but I haven’t found a solution to my issue yet so hopefully someone can help.

I’ve had the codes for front left speed sensor fault for about 3 years now. I replaced the speed sensor with a cheaper non OEM one and the fault went away for about a year but came back. No biggie, just bought another sensor but it never went away. I thought maybe it was the wire so I replaced that as well (OEM) and got another sensor and the code continues to not go away. If I clear the codes I have the issue where whenever I touch the brakes the ABS activates until it figures out there’s an issue and throws the code again.

Anyone have this issue after replacing the associated parts? All advice would be appreciated.

Rust in that area is a common issue. Make sure the area is rust free. Make sure the area the sensor sits on is flat and not curved as this will cause the sensor to be further away from the ring and not give the proper signal. if all is ok there then work your way back checking continuity and signal at each plug.
