I dont have a build thread, and probably wont till I get really in depth with stuff (like pirate4x4 in depth...SAS/handmade links or LT+ only, built not bought type stuff).
I am ABSOLUTELY ordering the rear Radflo/Metaltech setup with the Metaltech LT springs. The 4x4labs rear is beefcake as is and already wringing out the capabilities of my cheap stopgap measure/experiment with stock coils+spacers and 5100s. 2.5" emulsion is the only way to go when adding weight to these pigs of trucks. I'm going to just figure on getting the 2.5" extended travel Icons with resi and TC UCAs when I add Lukes front bumper and a winch. The 5100s/toytec coils are just barely enough to handle stock weight up front.

Sounds good. I went with 5100 and toytec coils but shouldn't be that bad. Back end worked out fine for me after I put in superflex coils (you do need progressive springs back there for the weight of that bad boy). I may talk to Luke and see if my front suspension is going to be enough... I can't see it being too weak, but I'll see what he says.

Edit: Just talked with Luke and with the winch that bumper is only adding about 200 lbs and he thinks the suspension I have on will be just fine. For what that is worth for you.

Updated: eyebrows version 2

They are going to go through one more iteration to get the wrap around sides all one piece but are making it in 2 pieces first. I'm liking it more and more!






 
That is looking way awesome. You're making wish I would have waited. I'm guessing that we will see some people selling their Shrockworks bumpers to get one of these and I may be one of them!
 
Nevermind... just read that the winch will be covered. Looking forward to seeing the final product!

Seems very functional offroad...

Any idea on what the plan is to cover the washer bottle on the passenger side?

I'm liking how it looks under the headlights, but right now the washer bottle looks dangerously exposed.

Relocation. It is moving, but I don't know exactly where it is going. I'll let you know when I do.
 
I for one could care less about the washer bottle. Everyone freaks out about it and various mfg's have their own little things that cover it in compromising ways that are never quite "right". It is a plastic container that holds fluid and has a couple plumbing hookups and possibly a small pump.
Relocating the bottle is the only real "solution" in the case of most new front ends. After what some here have done and many more will do when these trucks start really getting cheaper and more affordable as a "play truck" moving a bottle is small potatoes. (I used a Propel drink bottle as a radiator overflow resi on a $16k roadracing bike for years. Got it that way from a factory supported Yamaha team. It was lighter and simpler than stock, done deal.)
 
And we are ready for lights. We are putting a 20 up top and fogs in the eyes. Should be in by Wed.






I love it! (Which is a good thing since it is mine). Welds will be smoothed out as well prior to powder coat.

I'm digging it.. I like the taco'esk look of it. Is there an insert planned for under the stock grille? maybe the ultimate raptor style grille by replacing both parts?

Is the plate with the fairlead bolted in? so you can undo a couple bolts and get full access to the winch?

Yes. There will be accessorized fill in there. Don't know about bolted. I don't think so... Stay tuned.
