I think it's probably pretty rare for a forum member to be seen by another forum member, unless you hang out at some of the 4-wheeling hot spots. There are only about 100k members, spread out over the entire country -- and some are outside the US. And probably only a fraction of the members are active on the forums.

And only a handful of those are on the 'spotted' threads. That's why I quit posting descriptions of cool trucks I see and I only now post photos of either modded rigs of all generations or neat stock 1st gen rigs. At least when the owner doesn't see the picture other people on the thread can appreciate the work!

Spotted today on McLoughlin in Portland. Very nice rig. Also had two light bars up front.

just-in Holmes Flat Search & Rescue, RP rec’d call from friend who was trying to cross the river at Holmes Flat but vehicle got stuck, now it’s being washed downstream, black Toyota 4-Runner, unk exact location. HCSO responding Code 3; attempting to call out Coast Guard & other resources
11:42 p.m.
just-in HCSO Dispatcher on phone with the trapped person, he’s been floating downstream about 30 minutes, roof of truck is about 1-foot above water level, his phone battery won’t last much longer, but he will call back on 9-1-1- to help them get his lat/long. He’s wearing a sweater & jeans but is still dry
Follow up, no pics but the 4Runner was washed down river and totally submerged. Still in the river.
12:37 a.m.
just-in HCSO 1X1 (sergeant) advises that the man “has been reunited with his family,” all units are clear, and the truck will be retrieved in the morning.
12:34 a.m.
just-in CalFire BC got the lat/long for the submerged truck for Fortuna ECC to make notification for its retrieval. Incident Command is terminated, Redcrest Chief 6700 is clear
12:26 a.m.
just-in HCSO sergeant advises that Fortuna Ambulance can cancel and return to their quarters, Coast Guard helo was already canceled
12:25 a.m.
just-in HCSO sergeant was in contact with family members, trying to get them to meet back up. Holding the ambulance briefly.
12:22 a.m.
just-in Redcrest Fire Chief 6700 advises rescue has been completed, subj is out of the water, all incoming units can cancel and return to their quarters
12:16 a.m.
just-in Redcrest Chief 6700 on scene, will be Holmes IC. Access will be Holmes Flat Rd to crossing off Larrabee, reported now to be upriver from there.

just-in Bridgeville Fire now added to the river rescue response

just-in HCSO deputy & sergeant are out on foot toward the river from the end of Tierney Rd. Loleta Fire and Eel River Valley Technical rescue also being toned out to respond.

Nice lifted 5th Gen on the highway in Lake Havasu. Made my stock rig feel tiny.

What a Christmas eve...had a wonderful day snowboarding Mt. Bachelor. Truck was great and we had a wonderful day.
Went to Christmas mass and then my girlfriend had to drive back down to Portland because she has to work tomorrow (she is a nurse) and so I put her in the 4runner thinking that she will be safe and sound.
Two hours later I get a call and she can't go over 10 mph uphill. She was going along at 65 and all of a sudden it dropped to 10 and all lights went on.
She had stopped for gas right before leaving town and had checked the gas cap but no change.
I'm actually wondering if the attendant put diesel in...
To me it sounds like a fuel problem but no idea.
Very frustrating night and a helpless feeling.
