Agreed! I got them both from Jason and have them on both my 4th and 5th gens and now it's as responsive as my 3rd gen is! What's even crazier is the 5th gen comes with more delay than my 4th gen did.

Did you open the door and wait 10 minutes before you installed like you were supposed to? That is to allow the CANbus to finish its systems scan. I am guessing that is the issue.

I think I read that the codes/warnings will disappear after a few drives. I'd wait for them to clear then try the installation again.
Such a buzzkill to have that happen when you want to play with your shiny new toy!

haha damn, I accidentally -didn't know it was a thing until this post. I thought it was plug and play with no qualifiers. The only reason I left the door open for 10 minutes beforehand was because I was shooting the shit with a neighbor lol
Not sure how I don't hurt myself more.

I looked at directions for like 5 seconds and didn't know this was a thing. Mine was plugged in running in less than 5 minutes so guess i got lucky

Maybe it’s been said before, but pay attention to your wire routing. When you install it the wires at the top can get very close to the silver colored heat pipe. I’m not sure if it gets hot enough to melt anything but it’s good to be cautious and position things to stay away from it.
When I did that, the bottom harness wires are kind of close to the threads of one of the pedal bolts so I glued a foam spacer there to prevent abrasion. Doing all of this took me an hour or so to tweak it to my satisfaction.

Yes, 100%, Remember, all this is doing is fixing the gas pedal delay. So, no delay is there anymore, like any car made before 2003 that DIDN'T have drive by wire. Be sure to please watch the first 3 min of this to fully see what's happening. This makes everything MAKE SENSE and this is why it works so well:

Great! Yes, I've had customers mention they are getting better mileage with these. I don't market them for this reason, as the main benefit is fixing the super laggy gas pedal, but have had a few people call me recently saying they were ordering because they've had friends with them getting better mileage. This is very cool and a nice bonus!

I just tucked mine under the center console, and let it sit under the seat should I feel a need to change it just reach down and grab it. I tested for 2 days different settings and ended up red 5 and can't see a need or want to change it....maybe when I tow??

Far as I know, least with the 19, manual only limits the gear, doesn't just shift you there. unless mine is messed up?
The way I understand it, the transmission will automatically cycle through the gears up to the highest gear selected when in manual mode. So, if you start in 1st, you manually shift up, and also shift all the way back down to 1st when coming to a stop. If you leave it in say 3r and just come to a stop, it will shift itself down to 1st and automatically shift up to 3rd, requiring you to shift up through 4th and 5th. In other words, you have to shift all the way down like you would in a manual tranny if you want full control.
Anyway, my question was about what seems like a more linear throttle response when in manual mode.
