Squeaky Seat Fix - Your Experience??

Hi all. I have an early-build '03 with a major case of seat squeaks. The truck has already had one attempt at repair by the dealer. It temporarily reduced the problem, but it's now worse than ever.

I'm getting near the end of my 36K mile warranty, so if there is a definitive repair, it needs to be done soon.

Has anyone had this problem successfully repaired? If so, how?

I'm not sure this helps you but, if you documented your problem with the dealer before the 36K warranty period is up, doesn't that cover you for it after, if the problem still exits.

I've seen a post or two here about someone fabricating their own part to successfully repair the seat.

I had the squeaky seat too. I took it into the dealer, the service manager ordered the part that corresponded with the TSB, installed it the next week, and I have never had a problem again. I would recommend you take it into another dealership if the current one is not wanting to fix it.
