I have a 2WD SR5 because I rarely go off-road, but on those rare 'light-offroading' occasions, I bring an off-road stuck-in-mud kit of pick-axe, saw, machete, shovel, pulleys, nylon ropes, hand-operated winch, 6 wood planks, extra big-boy jack, LED flashlights with head-straps, and 2 fully-charged cellphones to call for help if I feel lazy. For commo, ideally, it would be nice to have radio across most frequencies so someone will hear you quick, e.g. CB radio, HAM, cell phone, Sat phone. That should take care of most sticky situations real good.
the SR5 has auto-LSD but I haven't had a situation where i can try it-would not depend on it though.
