Srainless steel grill

Found some nice 1/2" stainless expanded metal. Going to make a front grill. Don't want to spend the bucks for powder coating. Should I prime and paint, plasti dip or other options?

How about just leave it stainless? Then get the old fj40 Toyota emblem and paint that black. Just a thought.

Not really in to the bling. Prefer blacked out look. I found a powder coating shop that will do it for $10 to $20 if I wait for them to do it with another job. I think I'll just rattle can it for now and see if it lasts. I know, kind of wasting the stainless but I couldn't find cold steel or aluminun grill material I liked anyway so I grabbed the remnant stainless when I saw it. A lot of things are not that easy to find in Hawaii and shipping just kills us.
