SRQ-Runner Build Thread

Hood is painted up. Came out alright, only had to pay for the cost of paint so I can't complain to much.

Also visited a junkyard the other day. Got a center console and a few other things for some members of 3g4m on Facebook.

In other news:
3" lift coming soon!

What'd you get?

I'm getting used RC spacers (free) and coils (cheap) for now. Hopefully after college I'll have the funds to upgrade to something nicer. I still need to purchase some rear shocks to go with the rear springs, but haven't started looking to much yet. As much as I want some 5100s, I rather not spend that much right now.

So I got the lift in, here are some measurements.

Hub to fender:
Front: 22"
Rear: 24"

Fender to ground:
Front:36"
Rear:38 1/4"

By the end of summer I'll have something up front to level her out more, but for now this is how she is going to sit. I also plan on adding about 100-150 pounds in the back.

Ditto. Looks good.

How is the boat building coming along? Fishing has been good but it has been extremely hot.

When do you leave for the reservation?

Thank you.

He is going to have hull number 4 finished this week.

We got out 5 times in the 9 day red snapper season. Caught my first tuna while we were out there.

I head up on August 19th.

Started making my rear storage box. Will have 2 doors with 2 hinges each. Along with 4 mounting points on top where I can strap stuff down. The doors will also be able to be locked for while I'm up at college.

Looks great buddy. How is the height with the rear seats folded down? Is there a dip between the platform and seat height?

Yes there is a drop but I have extra wood to make the platform extend out for a sleeping area. Once I get the front lift in this coming Saturday, I'll be ready for a Hardrock trip!

Drove 3 hours to meet a buddy from the 3rd Gen 4Runner Mafia group of Facebook to install my front lift. On the way I hit a milestone.

We knocked out the front lift in a few hours. 99 tall coils on the 5th perch of Tundra 5100s.

Then headed over to Tire kingdom and got a alignment and opted to get the 3 year extension so I can get a alignment as many times as I want in the next three years.

Then it was time to drive the 3 hours back. Ended up driving 390 miles today, 190 on the new lift. Was very impressed with the runner as I didn't have a single problem. But we all knew that would happen...

cause it's a Toyota.
