thanks for the suggestions. this happened almost immediately after the inners were completed which seems like that may be why they gave out when they did. my theory: the old inners had SO much play in them that they put NO stress on the bushings really . . . i went under there, turned the wheel, didnt notice any play in the rack (before replacing inners -that were REALLY worn out) a few months ago when i bought the wheelers road bushing kit. with that being said, I never installed the bushings because the rack didt look like it needs em. NOW on the other hand I think I may go ahead and see if it solves the cluck. its directly related to the steering i know that much. i was in the hood last night testing swerving back and forth.every time i would come back hard to right the pop/cluck would feel the same, at about the same place in the swerve.
ill let yall know what i find out. thinking im gonna fish after work and this evening. the weather here is too nice to pass up on flyfishin on glass in the moonlight.
