I am having a problem for long time. When I was driving on freeway with the speed above 70mph and pressed the break pedal, the steering wheel started shaking. What is the real problem and how will I explain to my mechanic to be fixed?

On my previous vehicles when that happened it was time for new tires. I drove that vehicle mainly in the city, but when I went out on the highway 1 day I was shocked with how much the sterring wheel moved back and forth while I was driving over 60mph. I talked with someone about alignment, but was told it wasn't the alignment, I needed new tires. Presto, as soon as I changed the tires it went away. Happened again in my mother's car and a tire change did the trick there too. Not saying that's what is going on, just something to look at.

Explain it to the service tech just like you did here.

It could be tires but since it involves brakes, it could also be a warped rotor.

Rotors are warped. Vibration during braking is 99% brake rotors. Very few instances where tires are the cause. Tire vibration will happen at several different speeds. Usually around 45-55 and then again at 80+.
