Steering Strength Upgrade?

As far as I know there are no real strength upgrades for the factory steering linkage is there?

I have a friend that builds Heims, Tie rods and other stuff. He's built some custom stuff for me on my Tacoma build and we got talking and I mentioned that I don't think there is anything offered yet for upgraded steering parts.

How many people would be interested in bolt in applications for upgraded steering linkage strength? I mentioned dropping off my old steering rack he can use to develop parts when I go to pick up some stuff for my Tacoma.

So apparently the only upgrades to the linkage is to convert it to heim steer links which is garbage and can cause a lot of issues. Here are a couple example pieces of what is available that he currently makes.

There is a point at which the steering linkages can be made too strong. Instead of bending a link there will be a lot more force that the steering rack will see, and the steering rack is much more expensive and harder to replace.

Yeah, there is a point to everything. Mostly it was to give the option of serviceability, rebuildable and slight strength increase. Can't get too overkill. Heard of a few guys ripping apart the inner ball socket so having some added strength there might be better. But there is a point to where bigger parts fail. My 4runner is my DD so it does get wheeled probably hard for the majority on here but compared to actual trail rigs not that bad.

Interested in what situations the racks fail at. I've heard of gears skipping teeth and leaks.
