Stock Roof Rack vs Aftermarket chance of Leaks?

I have the 5th gen 4Runner with the stock roof rack and I would like to upgrade to an aftermarket roof rack, however I am worried about leaking.

Does the stock rack have just as much of a chance of leaking over time as an aftermarket rack?

Please, let me know as this will drive my decision and I am definitely leaning on your experiences.

yes, install it correctly, use Marine Grade silicone and you will be just fine.
