I've been looking at the Rexing after seeing you post about it a while back. Then I came across the version with the rear camera option & now trying to decide between the two. Any thoughts on the Rexing with the rear camera option?

Seems like when I was looking to purchase and shopping around, the reviews for the rear cam weren't that good. Low resolution, choppy ... etc. perhaps they have fixed those issues now. I like the idea, and for an extra $30 I probably should have just got the one with the rear cam. I wonder if they sell the rear cam separately...

I think I read that it comes with 19ft of cable for the rear camera which should give enough slack. However, I did just read in a review that the rear camera mounts to the glass using a provided double sided adhesive...only problem with this is it would prevent you from rolling the back window all the way down.

I wonder if it would work just being 3M'd to the plastic trim next to the window? Not sure if the mount and surface are compatible though.

Thanks! It sure as hell didn't look like that I when I got the truck 2 years ago. I'd seen cleaner trucks at the junk yard. The PO completely neglected the truck. Wires everywhere, garbage, soooo much dirt and grime! The four bald tires were all mismatched and expired by up to 8 years. They were cracked from sun damage and looked to have dry rot as well.

@359k miles the previous owners gave it up for dead and just gave it to me. It barely ran, suspension was shot, brakes were shot and the interior was shot. I've spent the last two years slowly turning back the hands of time and creating a FrankenRunner from junkyard parts. It's been a true learning experience.

The journey continues!

It even had dirty foot prints on the window ... on the inside. It was beyond nasty.

Oh and I found dried up maggot husks under the back seat around the spare tire jack kit. No clue how they got there.

I hate paying for crap with change. If it cost $3.01 — here's a $5 bill cause I don't carry coins on me and I'm too lazy to dig around for ones too. And I toss any coins as soon as I do get some.

Of course the wife keeps getting annoyed by all the rattling change I keep in the ashtray (which is just a holding area until I fill the tray enough that it won't stay closed). Change then gets transferred to the center console — where it slowly trickles down past all my crap to collect at the bottom.

Anyways, my well-meaning wife suggested I get a ... a ... "coin purse" ...

Wtf?

I told her "I'm a man goddamnit, and no self-respecting man carries a purse!"

To which she replied "you just haven't found the right one".

"Well of course not! There isn't a 'right one' I said, "I'm not looking for one either"!

Last thing she said on this subject that day — "I'll find one you like".

I rolled my eyes at the thought.



2 months later she gives me this:

Mrs. Creeper has quite the sense of humor. The constant glaring at me wouldn't work.

Since I'm lazy I haven't really done much lately. I did paint my corners amber though (stole the idea from GGFerrier). I wasn't sure how it would look on a white truck, but I think I like it.

Now I'm still debating whether to put LEDs or HIDs in the 99+ clear headlights that I've been sitting on for nearly a year.

I used to run a magnetic charger for my iPhone, but since I switched over to an Android phone, I've had to dump the whole setup for how my phone sits, since I like to keep it up out of the way.

So I picked up this simple magnetic ball-joint swivel mount and stuck it right on the dash in that little "taint" spot. My new phone is pretty good size with a 6 inch screen, but it hasn't fallen or moved in the week or two I've been using it.

Simple, cheap and effective.
