Sub underseat thanks Antman/jnance50 for the idea!

I just want to say a big thank you to Antman and jnance50 for all the work they did so I could have tried this myself with some help from a buddy :thanks:.

Pretty much did the same install as jnance50 expected I used a different power cable not the one that was included with the sub. Did a lot of soldering of all the cables together. Here are the pics of cables all over the place.

The sub is impressive for an 8 incher. I just up the power seat cables don't get all screwy from the sub.

Jnance50 was right great massage chair as well

Very nice! I see you decided to go with my idea of the doorstops for feet and putting the sub control in that little pocket. Great job on the install - hope you like it! I did a fair amount of tweaking on the crossover control / bass boost / gain before I got it "just right" - but now it's awesome.

Settings

I just put one in my cargo area and I am trying to get the settings dialed in. Where do you guys have your gain, boost, crossover set at? Also, I did 0 phase and low level input. Does that correspond with what yours are set at?

My gain I believe is at 4-5, my boost is at 6-7, crossover is around the 4-5 position as well I believe (or where the 4-5 oclock position is).

Apart from that, if you've tapped your speaker wires it should be set to high level input, and I believe mine is at 0 phase (you just set the phase to whichever gives you the best bass - has to do with the polarity of the speaker).

Sorry, I may just be slow, but I didn't totally understands your settings. Gain is 1 - 11. Sounds like you're at 4-5. Boost is 0 - 6. Sounds like your at 6 - 7, so you're at max? Crossover is 50 - 120. 4 - 5 oclock position would basically be max or 120. Does that sound correct?

I have mine taped into my speaker wires so the input is pretty high. My gain is about 7, boost is at max, my crossover is almost all the way up.

Most of the controlling I do is from the control nob. Of course I have only installed it this weekend so haven't really had time to play around with the settings yet.

I pretty much set it up what I liked the best its all your preference. Hope that helps bud.

Right thanks for the ranges. So my Gain is at around 6, my Boost is at around 5, My crossover is at around 70 or 80 - but as was said - it's totally up to your preference.

I have my Gain on the unit set low so that if I want I can turn the sub all the way off with the knob.

The bass boost is up so I can run less bass through the stock speakers.

The crossover is set to 70 or 80 because for most of the music I listen to (rock) anything much higher than that has it trying to reproduce sounds it wasn't designed for (some singers voices, guitars, etc...) - I like to keep it restricted to just bass (as much as I can anyway).

Also, if you're tapped into your speaker wire, you definitely should have it set for hi-level input.
