Just RTV it. It'll take 20 minutes and cost you ~$7, then you're done with these wet interior shenanigans. Worst case scenario you have to spend 30 minutes pealing it off if you ever decide to fix it right down the road.

Yup, I did the same thing and stole it off my donor wreck and swapped out the whole thing. Hardest thing was trying not to wreck the headliner cause its made out of cardboard.

Double check your windshield seal too. What I originally thought was a sunroof leak ended up being rust around the windshield causing an ineffective seal.
Also, if your seat belt is wet/damp.. maybe it could also be your roof rack rail.
Just throwing that out there.

The rubber on my gasket had holes in it and was leaking which I have pics of here:

Ok. This is my first winter with her and I just noticed my headliner is wet.
First thing I thought was the rack rails are leaking since its most wet around the drivers B pilar.
But now that I know there are drains that could be plugged.
Does anyone have pictures or know if a write up on this ?

I must have missed some of them. I found out that some some of the RR bolt were in fact loose. I socked them down and we will see from there.
I had a lotta Thule stuff up there.. i'm sure that didn't help.. I had my Kayak, bike and my Thule Rod/Reel carrier up there(no i'm not selling it either) Over the years it must have cause the bolt to break lose.

I've never had the issue or actually looked closely at the roof, but if it just a rubber seal, maybe contact:

and see if he would be willing to make something that would work as a replacement. He has remade a lot of the AW11 MR2 rubber parts that Toyota has either discontinued or only sells as a complete assembly like that. I'm guessing it would require a group buy of some sort to get him to kick it off.

My truck has the same "crack" in the sunroof gasket, this is my second 3rd gen, and the last one did too. Originally I thought maybe it was just a seam in the plastic and was normal. But after much searching I feel like it's actually a crack in the gasket, or if it is a seam it gets enlarged / compromised as the plastic ages.
Unfortunately there is no replacement gasket on the market, and you have to buy the entire gasket / glass as a single unit. I'm tempted to get a fresh new one, but they're over 500 bucks, and I've found some online parts dealers (the ones with the great prices) won't ship glass. I've settled on trying to find a salvage piece in the best shape I can, but I wanted to verify the crack or seam question so I know what to look for. Any T4R.org gurus that can offer insight?

That is definitely a seem and not a crack. I do think as the vehicle ages, the plastic shrinks and we're getting this problem. Why spend a ton of money on new glass or try to find a used one when a dab of silicone fixes the problem. In the video below, that's exactly what we show doing. Start watching 32 minutes into the video. This is a situation of working smarter not harder to finding a solution to the problem.

Had the same thing happen to me recently. Just got some specific window silicone from the auto parts store that said flowing and used that. No leaks since. I figure the flowing part let's it get I to any nooks and crannies. Kept it taped over for a few days to cure as well, since I had to drive around.

this is what I'm thinking at this point with mine but don't trust any windshield shops. my sunroof leaked when i first got the truck and the water would pool inside the sunroof and leak onto the molded part of the headliner. I sealed up my sunroof with flex seal and flex tape and that stopped the old leak but now it seems it leaks in further up my headliner and comes out where by the windshield. soaks it and makes my headliner there sag.
where did you see the leaks from your windshield?

I've actually watched parts of this video for those awesome threadlocked A-Pillar Bolts. I'll continue to watch it for the silicone repair. Thanks again mtbtim!
I finally figured out my sunroof leak and the fix wasn't too hard.
First, many people don't realize the seals on the glass are NOT designed to keep water out. This is why there are 4 drains - one per corner. I flushed my drains, and had good flow, but still was getting leaks at the front drains. So I bought a tool to clean the tubing (brush on a cable), thinking the flow was just impeded with filth. In so doing, I was a little too aggressive, and knocked the tubing completely off of the drain. Ugh. Small leak to HUGE leak!
I had feared the headliner removal scenario, tried and failed the impact driver removal of the A-pillar hand grip. So out of frustration, I just removed my visors and carefully pulled the trim away above the doors (did not have to remove) and pulled the corner of the headliner away from the roof. My headliner was water stained/damaged so was far from pristine anyway. I damaged (bent/wrinkled) the headliner a little, but was able to access the front drain. All looked well, and as I suspected, the Tygon tubing was stiff and the cheap wire clamp wimpy, so it was TOO LOOSE on the drain fitting, and would weep every time water went down the drain. Most water would drain, but some always leaked out. So, working through the small corner of the headliner, I cut about 3/4" off of the end of the tubing to achieve a smaller ID, then used a manly hose clamp to reattach the tubing. Then replaced the headliner. The only permanent damage was a wrinkle or two. Fine with me.
Repeat on passenger side, but had to remove the grab handle on the roof which was easy. Same scenario and fix on the passenger side.
LEAK FIXED!!!
