Alright my supercharged brethren, what kind of times are you getting post install?

For me, I have 2nd gen supercharger on my 2002 with URD 7th injector and AFR calibrator, stock pulley, automatic and I'm on 32" tires.

I'm seeing 0-60 in 7.5-8 seconds... no idea what a quarter mile time would be but I'd be curious to see if anyone's run it.

I'll check this weekend! I have a 5 speed so mine will be a little slower and I'm at 3500ft elevation so not as much boost!

I did a run using the Torque app (which is slow on my old phone). It said I did 0-60 in 7.15 seconds but I doubt it's reliable since the HP calculator was low. If I get some time I'll log it using my piggyback.

2.2 pulley, mapecu3 piggyback, Supra injectors,35s, fully armored, 5.29s, and a ton of extra weight at 6k feet mine runs 0 to 60 in 11 flat.

Not exactly fast and I don't care that's what I have the Audi for. And the 4runner also weighs 5200lbs with me and all my gear I typically have in it.

LMAO... Sorry to be an Eeyore but that’s not a title to be proud of. My old 00 sport with 2.0” pulley, TRD headers, Intake, Exhaust, URD crank pulley, dyno 246 whp did 0-60 in 7 secs flat so your number sounds correct. It’s consistent and that’s what matters, (your rig is running just fine).

There’s probably a truck with water/meth injection that does it in 6 seconds... which is a normal car by today’s standards. Example: Nissan Maxima. Whoopdeedoo...

Not being an ass. Just stating the obvious. These are not race trucks.

Hopefully no offense as that is not my intention. These things are anemic AF out of the box. The supercharger increases power output along with more low end torque and ultimately gives us a little more pep than the 5th gens. With little to no impact on reliability, the supercharger is a great upgrade for those interested in getting the performance updated to normal standards in this day and age.

Just my opinion. Others may feel differently and are free to post their times. Heck, the thread title got my attention initially.

1995 (2nd Gen) with SC'd 3.4, manual trans, 4.88 gears, 32" tires, K&N intake, stock pulley, URD 7th tuned pretty well. I think 7 seconds is about right. I'll have to try an actual timed test next time. But thinking about one-one-thousand, two-one-thousand all the way to 7 seems like about the time it would take. Quarter mile time would be about 27 seconds give or take hahah. Some go fast, ours go anywhere.

Yea that is a beautiful 3rd gen. The pearl white really makes the rig stand out. Funny my 3rd gen seems to be always dirty and beat up. Yours has inspired me to at least go get it washed especially since it is dirty from our camping trip.

7 seconds zero to 60 seems very good for 4 runner of any year. I'm sure my wife's 5th gen n son's 4th gen won't do that. At least you have power to past on a mtn road. I know the SC 4th n 5th gen guys might disagree but hey each to their own.

How about something more useful for day to day driving?

0-15 mph

Just because the 0-60 is slow doesn't mean a vehicle can't be "quick".

Agreed, in my experience it has excellent acceleration in first up to approx 40mph, then a looooong shift in to 2nd that tops out around 75mph. 1st gear goes by in a hurry tho.

I wonder what it could do with a more modern transmission, my wife drives an escape with 245 hp and 275 torque which is pretty close as far as hp/weight to our 4runners, and she sees 60 in 6 seconds flat based on a more modern 6 speed trans

Yeah once you hit 40 it just falls off but that is alright.

But for your comparison, the 5vz-fe only puts out 185ish HP and 220 lbs of torque doesn't it? Which honestly isn't horrible.

My sister in law has a 2010-11ish? Escape, Front wheel drive. That has to be the peppiest and quickest little SUV I've driven. All N/A and it will smoke the front tires lol

Yeah they're really pretty darn quick, 2.0 liter turbo on the newer ones which is the same engine as the Focus ST

1st gear in these autos is just too big. 5-speeds are better in that regard but still not quite there. So much time is wasted just to get the darn thing to get up to 20 MPH into the higher RPM range. My 4Runner actually goes through 2nd gear pretty quick since it starts 2nd gear at 3200 RPM (near peak torque).

A modern transmission? Those 8 speed and 10 speed transmissions are not even close to as reliable as our 4 runner transmissions. These are not sport SUV but the 4 runner at 300k will be just getting started. My bmw x5 ( v8 twin turbo) completely destroys a 3rd 4th or 5th gen SC vehicle but after 5 years and only 80,000 miles the repair bills were ridiculous ( sold). I will take our old transmission and slow reliable 4 runner any day.
