switched to mobil1 now puff of smoke when starting

It's great to hear the smoke is not blue, white is for sure due to condensation, if it was from oil there would a noticeable blue tint to the smoke.

And if it were antifreeze, it would smell sweet.

I had the same issue yesterday when started my 4Runner remotely while it was parked in front of the house with the tailpipe facing the house entrance. A cloud of blue smoke came out as soon as the engine started and then it changed quickly to white smoke. I have not noticed blue smoke in the past and as OP used fully synthetic Mobil 1 EP 5W-30 and their EP oil filter in the fall. I drove it less than 1000 miles since the oil change. Also she started rough this time but I thought it would relate to the weak battery. It started fine the day before. Should I change this Mobil 1 EP oil or leave it until the next scheduled oil change?
