T4Tools Build Thread

Just my opinion, but at this point I think I would just paint the entire truck the tan color. I don't think the tan and silver go together. Also, if it was all one color, your modifications would look more integrated, and not look like add-ons.

I'm thinking the same same thing. Just nervous to cover up such nice paint.

This is making me miss my ol 89 pickup that got totaled last year

I had a drunk 17 yr old make a left in front of me at an intersection. I hit him square in the b pillar and it pushed my passenger side tire back into the cab.
That sucks I can relate. My last 4runner was totaled by a guy who ran right through a 4 way stop. Took the wheel off the passenger right side.

Unreal build so far! Can't wait to follow the future progress. As it lies now, I vote paint the entire rig

Lining the new enlarged rear floor with carpet. I'll put it in as soon as I move the vapor can in the way.

Had a chance to use the faucet on a camping trip and it was a hit. I also built a storage tube for a large umbrella and foot stool.

Is that a torpedo launcher on the side? LOL
Awesome build man, cant believe I'm seeing this for the first time.

Decided to paint the rear quarter panels. I plan to incorporate a vertical stripe or shape to transfer to the silver color. Can't get myself to paint the whole truck yet. I'm thinking od green or flat black or grey for the strip.

Any suggestions or pics of similar paint jobs? Looking for some ideas.
Monstaliner. You won't regret it. If you want to see the process take a peek at my build thread. It would be a walk in the park for you to do.

It's snowing, so I'll have to wait on painting outside. Painted the microwave and it looks sweet

The next move is the vapor canister. I want to put in a larger floor. not sure how gravity effects the pitch of the lines. I don't think they will ever have liquid in them. But I think I need to keep it pitched towards the fuel tank.

That was fun. Turned the vapor canister 180 degrees and put it inside the truck. Then I cut an opening in the floor and put a sheet metal box over it. I extended all the lines but one with a weird coupling I couldn't replicate or extend.

Then I surrounded the opening with square tubing to conceal all the metal screws. It also allowed me to silicone the perimeter and undercoat without the floor in. It also keeps the floor removable for working on the suspension without crawling.

It starts. Just built the rough upper frame of the raised roof. The top deck will be aluminum diamondplate. Should give nice headroom for the flat screen tv...

I need a space in my condo like your garage :wow:

Just bought this tiny heater that only uses 200 watts. Got it for $15 online and it puts out decent heat. I'm mounting it in the back of the truck to add heat while the generator is running. I should be able to used everything but the microwave without turning it off.

Reminds me of my apartment, I rented one of the one car garages there that barely fits a car. I managed to fit a car, three motorcycles and a work bench while rebuilding heads on an engine. Could barely stand up in there.

Just picked these up on clearance for. 98 cents each. Gonna put together a rack for them. They kinda match the camouflage.

I've been recovering from a head/neck injury so it'll be a while before I can hit the trails but man it felt good just to drive my truck again. It's the simple things in life.
