Tablet mounting options

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 on a Proclip holder and a Proclip mount on the dash. This setup is secure and does not require drilling any holes or any other permanent modifications.

HOLY SIMPLICITY Batman, where was this when I was looking 2 years ago? You may have saved me from certain wife battles! I've never actually seen a mount made for my Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, until now. I've not wanted to part with the LTE service it gives me, and I just like it.

I've had this setup for several years now and wouldn't trade it for anything. Built-in GPS that works well, it's the perfect size for reading maps while not being too large and this mount has held up to 70+ MPH on Saline Valley Road in Death Valley (for those that know it, it's countless miles of the worst washboard hell).

I use CoPilot for on-road nav (works better than the factory nav in our newer cars) and BackCountry Navigator offroad.

You can see the swivel ball between the two mating surfaces. I have one of these between the two so the tablet holder can be removed in seconds:

I know the road, it makes you appreciate independent front suspension. I have fond memories of Cerro Gordo, Warm Springs Canyon, Panamint, as well as all the Death Valley landmarks. Been a long time, I'd sure like to find the time to visit again.

I'm using a RAM mount for my 7" Samsung. It uses a suction cup base that works great.

Now that I can post what I did I will beat on this dead horse a bit - I used the RAM mount but did not drill into the dash. I used the oh sh!t handle bolt instead.

I bought the same setup for a Samsung Tab 4-7". The Ram X-Grip also works great with the IPhone 6+. Setup is for sale in classified. $40 OBO
