Taillight question?

Ok so I just installed my 06/09 taillights!! I have the rear bumper turn signal mod, I dont like the orange top, red below, turn signals. I've ordered red taillight vinyl. I'm going to put it on the top, to cover the clear turn making it red, and look better!! Anybody do this? Btw I've done it on a past vehilce and came out great

I thought the turns were amber an the reverse lights were clear
