I actually saw this FJ for sale last year at a dealer in FL, and now its close by It is the super awesome Trail Teams ^^ but I am worried about the fact that it has had 2 owners in just 2 years ...

$40k for a 2yr old FJ? I know it's only 15k miles and I don't know all that much about the pricing, but I feel like I'd still prefer a new TE with a lift and sliders and new tires for that price...

The FJ is a love/hate vehicle. I had an 07 trd trail teams in all black and my wife had a 2010 in white, they are awesome for many reasons. But if you're thinking daily driver, it take some getting used to it. We began to hate the doors once we had kids. And having wheeled my 07 at Turkey Bay in LBL, kentucky, I can say that the blind spots are really bad. However, if I had space and extra cash for a 3rd rig, I'd easily pickup a used FJ as a toy.

Worry about the fact that it's expensive for what it is. 39k! I bought my TE with 28k highway miles and one owner for 29k.

People think they want an FJ but those blind spots and crummy space with poor mileage just don't sit well when it's what you're in every day. That's why 2 owners in 15K. Only took me a 4-mile test drive to know I'd never buy one. Get a used BJ 73/74. It'll go up in value, have better visibility, and more capability. Just my 2 cents.

This is the TT special edition, 1 of 2500 and a manual that is why they are asking for a premium. I think a bunch of people tried to snatch up the last of the FJ's specifically so they could sell them and make money on them (hence the two owners in 2 years).

FJ's are pretty hot pricewise right now so i dont think there are a lot of bargains. This certainly isnt a bargain price. When I bought my 2010 FJ in Nov 2009, fully equipped with all the option packages, I paid $29.5K. Other than crawl control and TT package that is largely cosmetic, I dont see $10K of additional worth.

My advice would be to look for a low mileage 2010-2013 TT model and you could surely get into it for a lot less.

Hey if that's what's important then do it! I personally think the current FJ prices are a fad but I'm frequently wrong.
Well, I use my truck pretty hard so special editions, paint, and resale are not my main priority.

I thought about it and was looking for an FJ for a few months. There are some good deals out there (though I didn't see any TE manuals like this one) for low mileage 2014 models with convenience and upgrade packages.

The reason I went with a 4Runner was:

1. More interior space
2. Could buy a 2016 for a little more than many 2012-14 FJs
3. The backseat is small and the suicide doors are a bear after a while, especially with children/older adults
4. You can mod a 4Runner to do what an FJ does
5. The higher prices don't necessarily mean they will hold that value in the long run

I wanted an FJ because they were no longer being made and I've always liked them. If you truly want one, then go for it! Either way you can't go wrong. Good luck!

If I were single with no kids and responsibilities, I would buy the hell out of that car and mod it to high heaven. Having a 1 yr old and a wife who wants to drive the truck, the 4runner is a much better choice for me. The price is a bit steep. I get the reason why, but I wouldn't personally be able to justify buying this version over an auto non-TT edition, saving money for mods and making it a trail beast with the saved $$. With that said, buy it for me and make it ridiculous.

2 years ago you could have bought that new at koons for 33k (plus title, tax, etc) so roughly 36 out the door...so at 39k you're probably looking at maybe 40 to 42 out the door depending on your negotiation skills. I guess that isn't horrible if you see fireworks every-time you think of owning this; the mileage isn't that high and since it is certified I'm guessing there is some sort of extended bumper to bumper warranty.

I got my Trail at toyota Alexandria for 36k out the door....just something to think about.

That blue color with the white front is very pretty.

if you are truly interested in buying an FJ....you need to be looking over at the FJCruiserForums and you likely need to travel to get what you want. For example, here is a post today for a 2013 TT that is quite a bit cheaper.

If it's what you want, buy it. It really doesn't matter what you pay if you're going to look at it and love it every day.

Where I live we have car auctions a few times a year were rare cars/collectables sell for hundreds of thousands even millions of dollars (Monterey/Peeble Beach CA). I would never pay some of the prices these cars go for, but some do. If you want that truck get it now, because if not someone else will.

It's similar to me and my inferno TRD PRO Tundra CM. I paid 46k for it and owned it now for over a year. If someone offered me 50k for it there is no way in hell I would sell it. Only you know if you want it bad enough. :yo:
