TCMach's Build Thread

Please call me Tyler haha. Unfortunately I'm selling my Mach1 so my username is somewhat dated. Oh well :ybrick:

But no I don't have a body lift. Also somewhat unfortunate because 35s would be pretty fun!

Went out today and tested out the 4 wheel drive a little bit. Climbed some dirt mounds (because thats all we have in Oklahoma!) and I was proud of my Runner! It got up some hills that my buddies lifted Xterra couldn't get up without locking his front hubs (he has Warn locking hubs). Also got a few pics in the sunset and also my offroad lights. Gives you a chance to see my buddies Xterra, which was my inspiration in looking at an offroad SUV in the first place. Enough talk on to the important stuff!

Finally got the CBI on!
It went on really easy, all the holes lined up without any modification and the powdercoat was pristine. I love the way it looks and it settled the back end down really nicely. On to the pictures!

Ill try and get more pictures within the next couple days because this is the hybrid bumper from CBI and I haven't seen many examples of it as most people opt for the plate style

Thanks! and Im really happy I got the hyrbrid. The plate was just too chunky for me. Also I think the tube on the back ties in well with the tube on the ARB and EVENTUALLY the rock sliders. If i can somehow get to a welder within the next million years :dammit: anyways, detailed pictures!

Wow, I missed this build! Super nice truck!

It's actually scary how similar your is to mine. Other than the colour and limited cladding they are like exact. Same mods (except my ARB isn't installed yet...) same rear bumper, same lift, same tires, same style of wheels. Wow crazy! haha

Thanks! Im honored to be in such good company! You'll love that ARB it goes on pretty easy even if you do the endcap mod. Also how do the tires work in snow? We don't get much down here in Oklahoma.

In other news I ordered new brakes and pads. Will be ordering new rear brake shoes, LBJs, and some miscellaneous stuff tomorow. I also have some recovery gear on the way so I'm even more motivated to get working on a cargo box of some sort.

That sure is pretty. I love the IJM/Black color combo, it looks so clean!

Keep it up!

Thank you very much! Means alot to know some of you guys are are reading my stuff. Also, I got my sliders welded on today along with a new muffler (to replace the one with the hole in it). Got all new piping in the back and it looks alot better than the stock pipe that I cut with a hacksaw.

Massive Update. (In the works)

Well its been a long couple of weeks. The starter contacts on the 4runner garbage so she stopped starting. Now I'm working on replacing those and the plunger for good measure. So I'm back to driving my Mustang and I'm parked infront of my friends house because we are detailing a Ford Raptor (unfortunately I only have one pic and its garbage, sorry!), and guess what happens. The Mustang gets backed into :redbrick::redbrick::redbrick:. Keep in mind that its for sale to pay off the 4Runner and I had just had an offer for 13k on it. That pretty much ruined that day (apart from driving the Raptor around town like a Baja 1000 driver).

This was before It was detailed

IMG_1488.jpg

Akebono pads
IMG_1489.JPG

New LBJs and rear brake shoes
IMG_1511.JPG

Smittybuilt tow strap and shackles (ontop of the brembo boxes)
IMG_1513.jpg

New switches from OTRATTW
IMG_1517.jpg

Rear backup lights (from O'Reillys, 55watt and pretty bright. for 25 bucks i took a chance)
IMG_1518.jpg

Wet Okoles! (Finally)
IMG_1515.JPG
IMG_1516.jpg

Should be getting alot of this stuff on/done tomorow along with new starter contacts to get her running again. Then I get to go deal with a 1600 dollar repair bill that luckily is not out of my pocket. Yay for people who are honest and leave notes when they smash into you.

Finally Finished Everything!! For now

Well I got all the starter contacts replaced along with the plunger. Also got a new battery and she starts up better than ever. I also finally got around to putting on some new stickers and the TRD decals. I chose a slightly different spot for my TRD decals as everybody does them above the rear wheels. Added some shackles up front. And, oh yea, did the lower ball joints. Also had to get her aligned again. The truck drove perfectly straight but I took it in and they said it was way off. Don't assume your truck will be fine after replacing the LBJs. Once it was all done we had a little date out flexing the suspension.

Aw that's so cute, look at the little Nissan trying to flex. Haha!

Nice lookin rig man! I am super jealous of the CBI bumper, I have wanted one since the first time I saw one like 3 years ago.

Funny part is that flex is with his rear sway bar removed.

Thanks! The CBI really worked out well. I know some people have had trouble with the bolt holes not lining up however I had none of those issues. Only thing I had to do was install a couple washers as spacers because the passenger wing of the bumper (the plate section) was contacting the body on bumps.
