Seven Mile Trail

Went up with some friends to Seven mile trail. Pretty fun even though I didn't take many pictures. Here's what I did take. Also went down to the Rising Sun 4x4 Rally in Lakewood earlier in the day. Saw a couple third gens but it was really my first chance at taking a really close look at the landcruisers. Those things are stout!

Hiking Trip on Labor Day

I went out to Estes Park on sunday and hiked up Chapin Pass to Mt. Chiquita (13,609 feet). To get to the pass I had to drive up Old Fall River Road which is a one way dirt road full of switchbacks. Not exactly difficult but its definitely a fun road to take the truck out on. Also it takes you back on Trail Ridge Road which is an experience in itself.

Poser shot on the dirt road.

Only shot I got driving Trail Ridge Road, you can see the dropoff on the right. Makes it hard to get pictures

Thanks! Guessing you live around Ft. Collins then? Know anybody that'd be down for a trail run? I still don't know the good places yet.

Yeah I go to CSU too. I would be down to go on a run for sure, and I have a buddy who would want to go too. We did Kelly Flats a couple of weeks ago. I'm pretty new to wheeling, so I'm no expert on the trails up here.

How are the Mickey Thompson MTZ's holding up? I just bought a set in 35's. Hoping they don't ware down too fast.

They are doing really good. Traction's great, highway noise isn't bad even after they hardened up. I only have 2 maybe 3 thousand miles on them and you cant even tell the difference if I clean them up. No signs of any chunking. Only thing I'll say is they come with alot of mold flap things, you know those little flaps of rubber left from when they made the tire, and they stay on pretty well so every once in a while I look down and see one of them and think my tires coming apart haha!

Sweet dude. I did sevenmile a couple weeks ago and it was fun. Just shoot me a pm or we can exchange numbers and lets go run a trail sometime. I've talked to a couple guys with runners at and around CSU so maybe we can get a good run going sometime.

Looking good!

Tyler,
Rig is looking great, as a matter of fact each time I review your thread I get reminded of mine...even down to the seat cover color combination!!

My sister just moved to the Fort, so I will be heading that way from time to time...we should get our twin rigs out on the trails!!

Keep up the good work, it is looking great

Best idea I have heard. Ever. Haha shoot me a pm, your number, a smoke signal, or messenger pigeon and we will go knock out some trails. :hungry:

WOW this is one of the best looking runners ive seen! Love it man!!
Dude, I SOOOO love your rig.
Very nice. Very nice.

Thanks to both of you. Nice to know others like the hard work thats gone into her. You both have sweet rigs aswell

I'm getting anxious haha. College is killing me because I cant work on my Runner as much as I want. Actually at all. Anyways they're is a massive list of stuff that is planned for Christmas break (5 weeks for me woo!). Some stuff I'm sure on others I want opinions on.

1) Maintenance and such. (tranny cooler, diff fluids, t-case fluids, etc)

2) New coils. Already got a set of 9 wraps from a guy on Ih8mud (if he sends them and I don't get screwed over, what are ya gonna do right?). And swapping my TRD tundra coils for Toytec 112620 coils. Gonna put them on the second or third perch. Hopefully will get me somewhere between 3.5 and 4 inches of front lift.

3) Cargo box. One big drawer, a couple vertically opening spots for my tools, and also integrating a Delta bike mount for my mountain bike.

4) Custom built roof rack. Been in contact with some people about building racks. Been able to source the parts so I wont have to buy a tube bender or tube notcher (big thanks to whitson for that when it finally comes together). It would basically look like a whitson rack but with a bajarack lightbar style front. Also would be throwing 4 hella 700ffs up there.

5) I've been growing less and less pleased with my headlight output. Time for a projector retrofit possibly. Looked up some stuff about it and it doesn't look to bad, more just time consuming. I would do this along with tinting my rear lights. Give the whole thing a little darker feel. I went ahead and did a Photoshop of the projectors done by SQ.MD here.

Would love your guys input on all this (2,4,5 specifically) also if you have any other ideas let me know. Thanks

2) 9 wraps should do well if you want more height. Lots of people run 861s with rear bumpers too. (Edit: I don't know if "lots" of people do, but I read a few builds that had them...). I don't know if you have looked into that or not. I know a dude with those front coils, he likes them. Not sure what perch he has them on though. Hopefully your CVs don't hate you too much if you get to 4 inches.

4) Yes do it. 30" LED light bar :thumb3:

5) Also, yes do it. Rickashay and 4runit come to mind first as far as retrofits. SQ.MDs is awesome too.

wow! How did I miss this build? It looks awesome! You have one sweet rig and some pretty awesome photos!

Very tasteful mods! I just went through your entire build thread and enjoyed it! had all these comments to share, but can't think of them by the time I get to the end. :D

Keep up the good work and let me know if you're ever up this way man! Love the ARB!

Oh, and just had the starter contacts replaced in mine, same issue. Starts every time now! :)
