TE traction settings in snow?

a fully loaded Trail is already flirting with the Limited's price point... throw a Torsen in? fuhgeddaboudit. customers won't want to pay for it and Toyota certainly isn't going to eat the additional cost.

I don't see the TE as a lower model than the LE. It's really a parallel model with a different intent. I would still have bought the TE over the limited even if it did cost more than the LE.

I'd trade Party Mode for torsen

Me, too. Unfortunately, the Torsen is an expensive hunk of steel. Party mode is probably a switch, a couple wires, and a small bit of extra programming in the head unit. In other words, $50 versus $1000.

I would easily pay $1000 for Torsen. It's my only wish for SR5.
