Hi, I just wanted to start this thread so we can collaborate all the places (legal) to go offroading around the Cookeville Area. TiN suggested we have a T4R meet. That would be cool.


I am going to post up the places I have researched some time soon.

Yeah I've been out of town since Thursday I had to come home and take care of some things. How was standing stone?

It was a pretty nice little area. Not a ton of trails, but definitely enough to have some fun on. I was comfortable in my 2WD the whole time, so it's likely way too easy and unexciting for most 4WDs.

It was great getting out and exploring the Cookeville area a bit though.

It was fun! The forest is really pretty. That last picture Trevor posted was so much steeper than it looks.

It's a good place to give your 4WD system a workout and keep everything lubricated in your front diff. and t-case.

I don't have photoshop on my laptop yet, so these are probably going to be really big...

[MENTION=127777]Jeff_G[/MENTION] talked to some locals and found some stuff around Blackburn fork road and Austin bottom road. He went to Blackburn fork last night and got a few pics. If I get back to TTU in time, we are going to go down there and see what's there. Y'all can join if you want.

I won't be able to make it today but I'm down for sometime this week! Not Tuesday or Thursday though I have classes all day

There are some awesome little trails about 12 miles from campus! not too tough but just fun enough, and a few cool water crossings too! You can drive right down to the creek and right into it too. Heres some pics!

Maybe we can get a group ride together soon! arty:

Yep that's it! It's hard to see but there's a sign in the side of the road that says it. I mea I've never seen law enforcement down there but I don't Wanna risk it..

From what is seems like, the trails I found off of Blackburn Fork seem legal! I have been twice, and I have seen a few people there. A family playing in the creek and also another truck that looked to be trailing around... also someone clearing out a tree over a trail.

Would you guys want to go trail around and ride the creek soon? :driving:

I'm up for it. I'm done with classes today at 5:20 and the rest of the week is 1:20

EDIT: I looked it up and it seems like the river/ creek is a "State Scenic River" so that may be good or not so good...

Are yall talking about the creek in Jackson county? You like go down a pretty good hill and then turn right then left? I think it's called spring creek
