I just wanted to say thank you to jsmarine for his and his brothers unbelievable craftsmanship on the bumpers. As you all might know I bought jsmarines rig. Well I usually drive my Prius to their mom as it is a 3 hour trip, but last night I had to take my son back to his moms and my daughter need to pick up a bunch of stuff, so I decided to take the 4runner for the storage. It was pitch dark out and a huge buck jumped in front of us. I slammed this deer doing 65. I hate to think what would have happened if we would have been driving my Prius. I had all 3 of my kids in the 4runner and we didn't skip a beat. Not even a blemish on the bumper, just bent the license plate I had stuck on with velcro. I've hit a deer one other time many years ago in a Hyundai at 50MPH and it totaled the car. Radiator was busted and we were stuck in Clinton PA on xmas eve when it was below zero. I truly believe my family is safe because of the 4runner.

I would check the frame to see if it's bent.

Good point, but all seems to be well. Drives straight as an arrow and no vibration what so ever.

Just came across this thread, sorry I dont get on T4R very often anymore. I am very glad to hear that you and your family are safe. I will share this thread with my brother, he will be glad to hear the bumper he built held up.

The Prius would have been fine...it is so aerodynamic that the deer would have just flown right over it like the wind...what are you talking about?!!
