Fuel pump not getting pressure built up?
Cam or crank sensor?
Throttle position sensor?
Have you changed spark plugs recently or checked the gap? A large gap could cause a long start.

i think it might be wiring with the 7th since they do deal with the cam, and some other important wires, that is such a pain to wire, is there anyway to take the wires out of the plugs so i can actually have room to work with when wiring them

Yeah take the plugs out of the ECU (with the neg batt terminal disconnected)

And start working on it. I stripped back most of the factory electrical tape so I could get room to work on the wires.

Send me a pm if u want to call me. Or I call u, leave ur number

no i mean like taking an individual wire out of the harness itself, like how do i do that, one wire is cut where there is no room to work with so i need to take it out and put a new wire in the plug. i just don't know how to get that old wire out

Oh yeah. So in the plug there are little metal clips that hold each wire in place.

So take a small pick that you generally pull the clip inside (from the front or back on some subtle clips) and gently pull on the wire and it will come right out.

See the 2 side wings or fins on each clip. That's kinda what I'm talking about. Ours only had one. So once you just push that down the wire comes right out.

3d printing my dual gauge pod now so I can get my Afr on there. I will post pics after its done!

Wow....how cool is that!! Was that cheaper than buying the one they make for us? Or did you build it for the cool factor??

Man...I'd love to have one of those 3D printers. Hopefully it won't be to much longer before they come down in price so us poor folk can afford one. I wonder if Obama could give us one...he gave everyone a phone?? But that was on an election year...maybe Mrs Clinton could hook us up?? Hmmmmmmmm...I'll have to check into that...lol!!

It was by far cheaper for me to print it and it does add the coolness factor as does any custom part. I am not sure I am crazy about the design, but I will rock it for the meantime lol.

I probably will throw it up for any one to print, but I plan on starting a little 3rd gen 3d printed shop this summer on ebay so that I can share the love with my 3rd gen firedns

OK, so I got back from the second dyno session today - I found out that the supplied tune from URD had the "ESC" function shut off until 4psi.

With that setting fixed I now have better part throttle (closed loop) fuel.

I also found that the original tune was pulling timing at idle so it made the cranking time really long during start-up.

The other thing is that the thing still PINGS.. Mostly at part throttle and sometimes wheel shifting, we tried pulling timing and it didn't seem to have any effect.

It is only light pinging mostly at part throttle and while this would not immediately damage the engine - it still makes me uncomfortable.

I may go back to the colder NGK plugs vs the Denso plugs supplied in the URD kit, I always felt that the Denso's made starting harder as well.

I will switch the plugs and see.

Remember, I am running the 5psi pulley.

Anyone have the torque values/pattern for mounting the supercharger?

Having difficulty finding this for some reason.

I think it's on the trd install instructions. I'll find it real quick

EDIT: its not on the install instructions. i found it here in the torque spec page 13 ft lbs. have other comment on this as well if they agree. but thats what i torqued mine to iirc.

Thanks a bunch man! :D I saw 13 ft/lbs somewhere else, but it seemed kinda low. If that's what you put yours at and it's holding together then that's good enough for me.

Trying to get everything buttoned up on this today, sucks that I won't be able to drive it till the weekend though.

Yeah, that's correct. I think I found 12 ft/lbs but basically the same. The reason why it's not super tight is because the intake manifold gasket has a rubber lip on one side of the gasket. If you over-torque it'll split and could leak over time.

hmm please post the results on the new spark plugs, mine takes a while to start and i wonder if its the plugs as well.

So now that I have my wideband I am finding that I am running lean at part throttle far before I go into open loop (where the 7th injector comes into play). Soooooooo, I am considering getting the URD AFR calibrator so that I can tune closed loop. Honestly I pretty much never make into open loop unless I am offroading (because mud..) so this should really help to improve the on road drivability of the truck. I am going to pick it up after I get back from Arizona and I will let you guys know how it goes. I personally think for the money the 7th costs we should be able to tune closed loop, but I guess not...

Yeah I had to tune close loop because I would practically never hit 4-6 psi of boost unless I was hammer down.

So I bumped the injector to turn on at around 3 psi and lower rpm. When towing last weekend I could tell the truck was getting lean on fuel then the injector kicked in and the sound became... Idk it just sounded smoother like the engine was not working against its self (I assume some pre detonation). When it does kick in my gauge jumps up and more fuel flows. Hit me up if you want a picture of my map B as a test.

What year is your runner? Mine is a 2000 so I have the damn wideband o2's so if I were to try to do that the ecu would read the change in the AFR's and get pissed and trim the fuel off from the main injectors... I personally think it is horseshit that URD doesn't have the AFR calibration settings built into their fic...
