whats the gap supposed to be for my denso IK22 spark plugs?

Couple different opinions on this... They come from denso gaped .32... Some people are running like this, and they say it runs great. Gadget recommends .43 I believe... Someone double check me on that... I installed my ik22's two days ago, and used .32 gap... I did have to adjust almost every one... It runs great by the way.

mine came gap at 0.043" and had to gap them at 0.032"

So is it confirmed that the manifold spacer is not needed on the first gen supercharger? "On a 1st gen sc you do not need the manifold spacer... Their is not space. The bracket just attaches to the sc" lhsoulrebel said that and I don't mean to be rude and act like I don't trust him but I would like to hear other opinions because I don't want to be stranded without the part during the install I want to have all my i's dotted before the install.


Also if I go to a local Toyota dealer will they be able to get me the parts that are not hard to find? Like the vacuum lines and a few of the bolts and washers.

Ok, not a great pic... But see the grey bit sticking out attached to the long vertical black bracket... That's the where on the later gen sc's your needed a spacer. So no spacer needed on the first gens

mine all came gaped at .022 i knew that was not correct so thats why im asking. it looks like ill gap them at the factory .043

yeah i plan on installing mine on monday. so everyone please be attentive this weekend and monday in case we have questions.

I installed mine about a month ago, so it's still pretty fresh... Feel free to pm me if you run in to trouble...

Also when looking at the supercharger instal kit link , I have 170mm bolt and the 3 brackets but I do t have the black piece I see in the picture? Is that a spacer? Now do I need that and if I do where do I find it ? I really don't want to but the whole install kit when all I'm missing is that little black piece

i think your talking about the spacers for the support bracket. you can fab something up or just stack washers like other have said.

im talking about the black piece in the top portion where the long bolt is and the three brackets are. in my bag there is 3 brackets the long bolt and black zip ties? im sorry to be such a pain but i just need to make sure i have all the pieces together

yes its a spacer for the support bracket, it should go on the side of the supercharger. you will see when you take the old bracket off and go to install your supercharger.

I was wondering the same thing. I have purchased the same plugs.
According to "Speedys Project SportRunner" he states this:
You'll want to gap the two step cooler plugs to .032" and if using iridium plugs be sure to use a wire type gapping tool so as not to break the tip of the electrode.

That should already be on your truck... Manifold brace maybe... Forget what it's called.

If you have the 1st gen sc, the only bracket you need is for the throttle cables... I didn't use any spacers. The rest of the brackets and cable holds should already be on your truck.

Has anyone tried replacing the rotor bearings in the bearing plate themselves?

I'm hesitant to pay for this:

Eaton M45 M62 M90 Gen 1 2 3 supercharger re manufactured Rotor Assembly Plate | eBay

And have to deal with timing the rotors/gears since the shafts aren't splined.

Or this:

Since it costs more than what I paid for the whole blower...

I'm about to rebuild the snout again after ~50k miles and I'm expecting the rotor bearings/seals will need to be replaced at some point (I replaced the needle bearings already during the last rebuild).

Anyone have a source for rear needle bearings? Rolling Performance was out of stock 6 months ago when I rebuilt my supercharger, so I skipped replacement....they are smoked though and need replaced.
