Wouldn't you then have a loose fuel line to deal with?
I guess i should have asked: Is removing the 7th injector kit completely prior to a CA smog check a huge pain in the ass, or not really?

In CA, they use a mirror and look at things like the intake, headers, fuel injectors, down pipe, etc etc. I knew they were thorough but it seems like most know where to look for aftermarket parts and such. It's worth a try I guess and you might just pass, but just be ready to remove it if it doesn't.

I am so glad I dont live in CA. But here are some ideas for those of you that do:
TRD once made a 7th injector system and it is covered under executive order D-425-15 along with the supercharger. I wouldnt think an emissions tech would know the difference between a TRD and a URD system... You should just need the EO sticker under the hood.
Regarding the flashy red URD pulley. Pulleyboys is an alternative. They are black anodized and look stock. Should fly under the radar unless it is measured.

File this parts list away for future reference.
(1) Flat head cap screw, M10 X 1.25 (pitch) X 70mm long
(1) Hex head cap screw, M10 X 1.25 (pitch) X 135mm long
The FHCS is no problem to find. The hex head bolt in 135mm length is a little more tricky. I suggest buying a 140mm and cutting it down. Both of these can be found at McMaster.
Note you may also want to grab a few M10 washers - the instructions mention the 135mm bolt may bottom out early and require the washer (mine did not).

I could not find any M10 X 1.25 on McMaster. All they have is M10 X 1.5
I did find another comp called Metric Threaded Products who say they have it. But they are closed on weekends

Anyone have an extra throttle body bracket for a 2nd gen SC for a 1999 4Runner? If not, what did you guys fabricate to hold the two TB cables?

I cut the original cable bracket and bolted it onto the single bracket. haven't had a problem yet. But I've tried finding someone to trade. Tough to find... Wouldn't be hard to make a new one if you had the tools. Probably something I'll do eventually... House and other projects keep getting in the way.

No that's the right one! Read the fine print man
It says "for the Upgrade Kit, same components as the Standard Kit with the addition of an extra injector.."

Shoot, that's what I was trying to avoid ... I don't plan on going back to a non supercharged T4R, but just as a safety cushion I'd rather not chop up that TB bracket just in case I need to remove the SC and put back the stock manifolds. It's time for me to man up and just learn how to fabricate stuff lol. Thanks for the response Volkinator, good luck with the house and your other projects!
