I am looking at this gauge, PN: 30-5130 gauge and wideband uego air/fuel controller in one.
Exactly what would I be able to adjust. I am new to sc and trying to learn all I can before I purchase.
I don't believe a gauge itself will adjust anything. It simply reads data and translates it for you. That being said, the wideband I have has the ability to wire in cut-offs for racing applications (probably not used for something like ours).
Let me give you an example:
Say you have an engine and you want it to blink a warning light at a certain RPM or AFR number to avoid damage. The gauge I have would be able to do that, if all wired in. It could also do things like cut grounds/powers to certain other sensors, again IF all wired in for that.
All you're probably going to do is read data, and use that data to adjust a secondary system such as the URD 7th. An AFR gauge simply allows you to read and/or record real time data to tune ANOTHER system. It essentially takes the guess work out and gives you exact numbers to work with.
All that being said, a supercharger alone is wonderful. Ran mine for 2 years without additional fuel and had minimal problems, I just had to pay a little more attention while driving.
Adding a URD 7th with the "out of the box" tune seems to be sufficient for 95% of the folks on here. I only had to adjust little things in that system to get it where I wanted, and honestly there wasn't THAT much of a difference.
I always say, don't expect these things to run like a Chevy V8. It just doesn't have that kind of a feel. It will have more power. Noticeable power. But keep in mind it's a heavy rig, smaller V6 and the boost numbers are like 6-8 psi on a stock pulley. Pretty safe overall, and it will likely NEVER feel like a race car.
Please chime in anyone, if you're experiencing different results.
