turning off both TRAC and VSC, by holding down the button for ~3 secs, only works when the vehicle is stopped; both will then remain deactivated irrespective of vehicle speed or until you hit the button again. (this is how it works on my '10, anyway.)

Hmm... I'm pretty sure I was turning them both off on the go, but I was in 4hi if it makes any difference. I'll try to remember to try it tomorrow.
