I am planning a similar setup, and always shopping for ideas.

I have CDT HD-62's, PDX 4.150 & 1.600. I'm waiting on an ordered subwoofer to get started. My current plan was to put the amp's & crossovers behind the panel where the factory sub is and fiberglass a box on the outside. I didn't think everything could fit back there (the sub only needs 1^3 ft).

Whatever you end up make sure you post some pic's I would love to see what can be done.

Have you hooked up the PDXs yet? If so what do you think? Heard nothing but good things so far.

I already have; the 2 sets of Focals (1 already installed in the front), and the Eclipse. Now my only expense is in the amps, the sub, and the install/fabrication

Will get some pics posted as soon as I get it all in

Install before the fabrication of the box was $250 for the labor. I am tempted to tackle the box as I am pretty good with carbon and fiberglass. But i would like it to be as professional as possible.

not sure on wires. JL wires in my 98' 4R and I have Monster Cable hidden throughout my house. What do you suggest?
 
I haven't hooked them up yet, I put in the headunit and left the speakers stock. Right now I have just a big pile of equipment laying in a closet. I did run the rca's back to the rear of the truck, that's about it.

When you get the costs nailed down I'm interested too, because although I'm fully ready to tackle this job myself, I don't know if I really have the time to do the fiberglass to the caliber I expect.

I heard that KnuKonceptz's Fleks is the most flexable wire around.

I would do no less than 4 gauge wire from battery to distro block, but would highly suggest 1/0 gauge.

Having a shop do the fiberglass would be better in my opinion. It would save you time, they would get it right the first time, and you would be positive it would look good.
 
The JL audio 500/5 that I posted in the classifie section awhile back is a great amp. I am not saying that becuase I still have it and haven't sold it. I truely liked it when I have it installed in the Frontier. The subs hit hard for only being 250 watts RMS on the sub channel. I am just getting to old for the audio thing and happy with the factory JBL system.

Did you get the equipment installed? You are using all the components I want to use, the only difference I am keeing the factory Nav. Any pics?
 
Man funny you should ask. I just spent about 10 hours down at my shop today putting in 75 sq yards of Second Skin, remounting my front door speakers, and mounting my rear speakers. I do have pictures but I need to find my cord.

I would like to figure out how to remove the rear cargo panels so I can run my tweeters to the crossovers I mounted in the doors.

So far it sounds amazing! What a world of difference the deadening made. I used to listen to the music at about 90% but on my way home i was happy with 75%

I'll go look for my camera cord now

I actually put in three layers in most spots. Inside the doors, outside the doors and then inside the panels. I finally hooked up my rear components but am still lacking my tweeters. I mounted the crossovers inside the door panels. Wish i could talk myself into buying the amp
