The wait is killing me!!!

So after about a month and a half wait for the dealer to find a swap so i can get my 2015 trail premium, i ended up telling the dealer to just order a brand new 2016 trail premium w/ kdss in black. They tell me its a about a 3 month wait to get it from japan, does that sound accurate or may i get lucky and receive it sooner? :p

when I put my allocation in oct-2013 or was it sept-2013, I didn't pick it up until 4-dec-2013.

Before my dealer found my 2015, I was working with another one in Baton Rouge and they said to find what I wanted, I needed to order a '16, said it would be in by Thanksgiving, about three months. So he is not too far off.

Another 3 month story:
Ordered July 2, built Sept 12, shipped Sept 13 arrived in port Sept 23, picked up from dealer Sept 28. Worth the wait, gave me time to read the mod posts and order a few items.

For what it's worth, my dealer told me the same. Then 3 months came and went. I wasn't in too big of a hurry though, so I didn't press the issue. I had a decent deal worked out and I wasn't going to drop it for having to wait a little longer.

3-4 months, local pickup (they're about 10 miles north of me), ordered 7/28
sorry don't mean to derail the thread, so that's all i have to say about that.... unless we're just talking generally about what is killing us

The normal lead time for receiving a 4Runner when it's ordered from the factory in Japan is 10 to 12 weeks. I ordered a 2015 around June 1st and it's just now hitting the dealer's lot. I'll probably get it in a day or two. That's just about 11 weeks.

There was also a one week delay in getting my order placed because I asked for an Entune Audio without the NAV and the dealer found out a week later that Toyota was only making them with the NAV for the rest of the year. They had to place the order again, once they got my approval. Who knows what you can get for 2016?
 
In this same boat, dealer didn't have on the lot what I wanted (they only had two total) but luckily found one coming over on the next ship. Should be here by the end of the month.
 
Ordered my 2016 TEP w/KDSS from a dealer in Houston, Tx on 7/31/15. I've been checking up a few times (most recently today) and they still don't have an official timeline from Toyota but said it would probably be December before I got it...that's 4+ months. I should have just flown to CO and bought a 2015 off the lot and drove it home.
