Ya I talked to Adrian the contact for the water port company. He is out of town currently. But if we could create a list of who would be interested in on group buy I'm sure it would help. Ive never headed a group buy before but I'm willing to try it out or pass it over to someone with more experience. Haha.
I know water port is based out of Encinitas CA. Basically middle point between LAX and San Diego. Tomorrow I can try and create a water port group buy sign up and we can go from there. Get some signatures up and running ect.
 
I have the waterport, my only complaint about this thing is that I didn't know about it sooner!! I use it all the time at the beach.

Depending on price I could be in. I would use it regularly on mountain bike rides for myself and my bike. I can totally see the value in this.
 
I used bungee chords for now and set it on top of my gobi temporarily. I'm trying to make a design so I can side mount it on the gobi.

Do it! I am in. I contacted him as well, and he said the same thing haha. I'll let you take the reigns, and start a group-buy. Count me in for a side-spout with no mounting brackets! :israel:

expanding on this idea a bit further. you could also just add a 12v pump to the system. the style used in RVs. they use very little power, and have an auto-off feature. you would just need a storage tank, and a handheld shower head.

I talked with owner of water port today and he is excited for the possibility of group buy. Make sure you check out the group buy sections. Will be a few more days before the discount will be agreed upon. But I will need to see who is interested. May sure you through down an "interested" response in the group buy section or PM me. I am keeping a list of everyone interested and when I have discount I will PM everyone with details. I will try to move the group buy quickly because I have seen a good amount of interest and a lot of people want to get this product before summer is over.
 
Hey all,
Digging all the support and interest in this group buy. So I've noticed a lot of you want to do this group buy ASAP. So I talked to owner of group buy just a few minutes ago and we are going to go ahead and start the group buy tomorrow! I will create a new thread on the group buy page to an active status and no more feeler thread.

So far we have a total of 26 people interested in the water port. Owner is going to offer if we sell 20 water ports we will all get 20% off your individual order! Woot Woot!

I appreciate everyone who has sent me a private message of all your details of what you want but we have decided to make it easier. The owner of WaterPort will give me a code tomorrow and I will post it and we will just apply the code when you purchase your product through his website. The 20% will show it applied immediately. The code will only be valid for a week or so but I will put the exact dates and details tomorrow.



Some other notes he wanted me to share:

- Shipping prices varies. he can't do anything about that. he is located in Southern CA so closer you are the cheaper. He is willing to do local pickup if you want to meet him personally. He is located in Encinitas CA. If you want to do this you will have to contact him personally either from his website or make a note of it during your purchase.

- He has also created another way to attach the water port. He is currently creating a mount that attaches directly to your trailer hitch. But he says it will be another 3 weeks before it can be ready to be shipped. He will get me pictures/vid tomorrow and I will forward along.

- For everyone who wants the frame mounted version, He is already back ordered on the mounting hardware. He says he will not be ready to ship the frame mounted version until middle of August. He will move as fast as he can. He prefers if you want the frame mounted that you order now and use the code that will be provided but it will be awhile until it ships.

Here is mine mounted with some k9 brackets and zip ties. I used tie down nuts so I can remove without a wrench.
