Share what you come up with maybe I'll give it a try. Meantime my waterport is good to go and very handy to set up and go. Works better than unfinished ideas....Thanks for the advice tho.

Damn right. Everyone knows its not good enough anymore to not get the name brand stuff that costs 3x more. I honestly think some people are more interested in posting gear porn pics of their $350 spacecases or $50 water jugs than actually you know, getting out and camping (I refuse to call it overlanding).

I have always believed in the phrase "to each their own" and overlanding is a prime example. Doing whatever we can do to feel apart of a community is IMO worth while. Overlanding, exploring, camping, road tripping, etc. We're all in this together and if it needs a label then choose your own and hopefully that's enough! Cheers to all of the adventurers out there, may we all have a broken compass and an out dated map!

Good point! To each their own. If someone wants to spend 20x on gear and mods than me go ahead. Hopefully we can all just get out and enjoy the outdoors.

I have a water port. More than anything I bought it for use this summer when I have dog trials. I will use the water to keep my dogs cool between field runs.

I use two ratchet straps to attach it to my FR roof rack. While I would like a better mounting solution, it works for now.
 
These have been out for a while now and a ton of people have them so I am curious, how are you guys mounting yours? I've been just keeping mine in my cargo area to clean up after mountain biking or camp dishes but I'm curious other ideas.

I'm just about to get one myself - have a rack on order, due in July so really waiting for that to arrive first. I also had the same concern with the mounting.

I wonder if there's still interest enough for another group buy?

Wow - im so lucky. Just a few months ago in an unrelated event, i reached out to Rhino customer service to get a replacement for a broken cleat/kleet(?) on my rack. They ended up sending me a box full of misc stuff which i guess were "returns". I got my replacement plus a pair of the awning brackets! Im happy to hear they will work with the waterport.

I will try to mount it this weekend. We are planning a trip to Corpus Christi for the 4th of July weekend. Im hoping the waterport will bee able to rinse all our sandy feet off and keep the interior of the truck less sandy.

Bringing this thread back as I just got a Water Port for Christmas! Anyone have any feedback on these?
 
Costco kit here and after a year of use I had to replace my spray gun, the plastic screw for the handle broke. Other than that its been great. I recommend pressurizing it using your air compressor port rather than hand pumping. Beware do not unscrew the cap with pressure in the tank or your cap will launch like a bottle rocket into your face no matter how strong of kung fu grip you have.
