Thermometer Reading Off - 2015 Trail

I have noticed that my in-dash thermometer is reading about 10 degrees colder. This morning, it was around 30 degrees outside, and my dash was reading at 21 degrees. This is while I was stopped and driving. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Mine only had 37 degrees this morning but I knew for a fact that it was F&#%#$@ing cold....

Seriously though, wonder if it's not factoring in wind chill...

Mine was doing it sitting still though - no wind. Does anybody know where the probe is located?

Don't know where the probe is but is it possible it was iced up? I've had the same issue after spending a couple days off road. A quick wash down cleaned my probe up wherever it is.

I was actually parked in my garage overnight where it was about 50 degrees (according to the garage door opener control). When I started up the truck, it read 42 degrees. It always seems to be about 10 degrees colder than any other readings...

Mine seems fairly accurate. It read 37* on the way to work this morning.

you sure it wasn't set to "C" instead of "F"?

mine read 16 this morning, but that's a heat wave this week. yesterday was a high of 9.

Yeah- there was a big F right next to the readout. I will try toggling back and forth between the two and see if it makes a difference.

Unless you live in the Southern Hemisphere, if it read 42° this morning it was surely °F. 42°C would be 108°F and that would mean your truck was WAY off!

88625P in the picture is the Ambient Temperature Sensor P/N 88790-22150
If you pop the hood, it should be on that center post in front of the radiator.

It's funny that it will only go to -10F considering that many people will experience colder temps every winter. Our low last night was right around that. On the other hand, it will go to +150F, at which point I will be dying a very uncomfortable death. anyways, thanks for showing where the sensor is, the last time I went through the car wash mine went crazy. After about an hour, it was all dried out and went back to normal.

That's odd. Here is -17F. I saw it go down to -28F, but no photos.

That's what the FSM says... I never bothered to actually check the ranges on it to be honest?

Went outside and blasted my 4th Gen's unit with canned air to flash freeze it, went to -22F ... unfortunately it does not seem to want to go back up, even after running it under warm water... so I'm gonna say it doesn't like much more than -22F? lol :doh:

its rated to go much lower, I think -39F. this is the lowest I've recorded on mine.

and as you can tell based on Bilbo's screen, I removed my eco bar via techstream
