The small part of my brain that is OCD cleaned up the spelling, and made a few other minor adjustments. Hope to OP does not mind

The 2015-... does not have the ability to calibrate the compass? Or is it just because I have nav? There are posts in this thread and others about calibrating your compass and selecting the correct zone. They reference p450-453 in the manual but those pages are dedicated to starting the engine with a dead smart key in my manual. I have a 2017 TORP. That's an acronym right?

Ok, I walk out of the hotel and the valet hands me the key to my 2016 TRDP. As I walk up I Realize the dimmers and engine are on!
I ask the dealer if the vehicle has an autostart. Mechanics search and say no autostart. Vehicle window sticker did not mention an autostart.
Today I figured out that if I press the lock button on my basic Toyota key fob 3xs the engine starts and keeps running, unlike others who experienced engine cutoff upon entry into the vehicle.
Whatever....

That's the rear e-locker, not lsd. No 5th gens have a lsd, although the 2wd have traction control they call either lsd or locker

You might have the remote engine starter. The instructions say to start engine:
Quickly press LOCK twice and then press and hold LOCK for 3 seconds.
To stop engine:
Press UNLOCK or press and hold LOCK for 2 seconds.

Correct! My bad, I just like LSD, or at least I use too, "call control"
:2wd have Auto LSD as part of traction control system, according to the manual.

The 'bar' part of that has to be done with a scan tool. I had my selling dealer do it for me. They didn't charge me but I've heard some do.

Pretty sure it is not a genuine Toyota VIP remote start then. It is entirely possible the dealer installed a 3rd party remote start, some work with OEM fobs.
Unlocking or opening a door, pressing the brake pedal, taking the truck out of P, opening the hood, all kill the OEM remote engine start.

Could the Factory Remote Start have programmable features? ... I understand that one can program "delete" seat belt chimes etc. Wonder if one can also program features of the Factory Remote Start too.
