thinking about skipping the cork pan gaskets, in liu of Right Stuff. Any comments?

not a fan of cork gaskets, (cork AKA Renewable Forestry Oil Wicks)

was considering to dispense with the cork above and below the splash shield, and just use all and only The Right Stuff from the cute mini caulk gun (two 5oz tubes and gun from amazon for 25 or so).

Has anyone reading me tried this plan for some miles?

are you happy with that ?

RTV works just fine, been using it on all my trucks for years.
The key, no matter what you use, is to thoroughly clean both mating surfaces of old gasket, grease, etc, and make sure all the pan edge is straight, no dimples at the bolt holes.
