Thinking of selling: 98 runner 5sp,elocker, leather, loaded,Price?

I'm thinking of selling my 1998 4 runner. I'm on the east coast in Va. Ive got some rare options. 5sp,elocker, with leather,power locks, windows sunroof.
139k miles with like new bridgestone revos on it. What should I expect to get for it? Has the economy hurt this at all? Been snowing like crazy here but, I dont know if that helps now that it's pretty much over. Not sure the general market will appreciate this one as much as the real 4runner fans.

$9,000 for a '98 SR5 with 139,000? Seems high to me.

Kbb has it listed at $4,700. I'd think you should be happy with $7,500.

I think you could get close to 8000 if you try to find an enthusiast. A locked 5spd with leather is definitely a rare find. You might only get 6500 locally.

I agree. As a 4Runner enthusiast, I would pay $8k if I was in the market looking to buy one, assuming that it has minimal to no rust, has been taken good care of with service records, and exterior and interior is in good condition. If not, I would be looking at getting around $6-7k for it IMO.

I agree, the market for your 4runner who actually knows and cares about your rare options is small. Not trying to discount those options because they are rare, and for the right person, it is worth more because of that. Otherwise, its just another 4x4 SUV.

In other words, if KBB says its worth X then trying convince your everyday buyer that's worth double X is going to be very difficult, most people don't care about those options to pay double. Your everyday buyers will be looking at and comparing main things like year, overall condition, and mileage, and a few options like 4x4, leather etc. Your best bet is to try and sell it on here, or any other Toyota or 4x4 forum. Before I joined this forum I had no idea about some of the options and the rarity of them on 4runners, so when I was in the market for one I probably passed up on some good ones because I thought they were overpriced compared to other 4runners I saw.

Zero rust on this anywhere. Ive kept pretty good service records. Timing belt/wp has been changed once. I feel like it's in good shape compared to some I looked at. I guess I'll put it up for $8k and see what happens. One thing that helps is it's not an emergency. 2 drivers 3 vehicles and selling for a want not a need.
