Thoughts from the vacuum
Replacing vacuum lines , why the hell not, everything else organic on this engine is new,
looks like Toyota had 4 mm in mind, but the 5/32 available in bulk roll emissions black rubber was so sloppy, it felt like I was installing bigger and better vacuum leaks.
O'Reilly auto online shows this Gates silicone hose in 4mm along with more that a few other sizes +/-, about 10 bucks for a a couple yards,
they will order it to store for free.
The 4mm is grippy on the steel tubes, and I bet the silicone composition won't bond to the metal as badly.
I wont even touch the bimetal valve plastic ports until the bitter end for fear they will disintegrate.
I did paint some graphite anti-seize on the plastic ports to prevent their becoming one with the tubing.
Actually the 2.8mm even fit on the steel but let's not get carried away
