Three weeks of owning my '15 Trail

Hi all!

I purchased my new 4Runner about three weeks ago, and I am absolutely in LOVE with it. I used to have an FJ ('09), then a Tundra ('14)...and this is by far my favorite out of them.

I figured I'd wait until I have owned my 4Runner for more than a few days to post on here.

With my 4Runner, I do not plan on modding it very much at all, beyond BFG All Terrains and LED interior (and license plate) lighting. However, I do think those gunmetal TRD wheels would look pretty awesome.

So far, I've just done minor tweaks to it. The night I brought it home, I hardwired my dashcam, which I had in the FJ & Tundra (see my youtube channel of dashcam videos I've recorded).

I transferred over my vanity plate & front tag, added a ball hitch to minimize low-speed impacts in the godforsaken city (Pittsburgh), and of course, I've added decals

Over the course of the past few weeks, I've managed to get some pretty neat glamor shots, and I figured I'd share some with yins...enjoy!

How did you hardwire your dashcam? Did you wire it into the overhead console or did you end up running it down to the fuse panel? I just finished hardwiring one for my Jeep Grand Wagoneer and now want to do the same for my 4Runner TE.

I have the same model in the same color. About 4 weeks now. Love it. . .came from a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, and before that, a Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited.

For your rear bumper protection, check out Superbumper.com. I have the Bumpershield as that's what I was using on my Cherokee. Either the shield or the bumper are much better solutions than just running a ball, for minimal investment. I'm surprised more people don't use them.

What's your opinion of your TE vs the Trailhawk?

The Cherokee was a "technological marvel". However, the T4R is a real truck, has more space, and while not as technologically advanced gives me the peace of mind that the Trailhawk couldn't. I'm very happy with my decision.
