Time for a change again Synthetic? Rims? Intake?

Ok, its getting warm out so now im getting the itch to start doing stuff to the runner. I want wheels (18's) and I think im going to try out the intake system. I am also contemplating the idea of changing over to synthetic oil.

A) Is the intake kit worth it?
Will I get better Mileage? I'm not even concerned with the HP gain, I am more focused on the Mileage as I travel about 90 miles a day to go to work and home.

B) Anyone have suggestions for wheels? I went to tirerack.com and discounttiredirect.com and I really didn't see anything I liked. I would like to get a polished rim since they are a little bit cheaper but I may go for a chrome so long as it is not too expensive.

C) Is it worth me changing over to synthetic since I change my oil every 1 and a half months. I also heard I may get a little better mileage, is that true as well? Again, being able to gain mileage is a big thing for me right now!

A) Intake systems sucks! Keep it stock. Don't even bother w/ the K&N stuff.... Stock is the best..

B) Can't help ya on the wheels but I do recommend America Tire/Discount Tire for the tires as they have an awesome warranty program where you can replace your tires for any reason (even side wall damage!). They can order wheels too btw, so just look at some mags and see if they can get one you like.

C) I don't use synthetic... This topic is a pretty intense one but personally I just use regular and just change every 3000 - 3600 miles..

a.) at best I don't think intake systems are worth it. I put an Amsoil filter in but that I wasn't trying to gain any power by doing it.

b.) You could have your stock wheels chromed. Not too expensive.

c.) I think the biggest difference with regards to mpg's would be to go synthetic in the differentials and transfer case. I switched to synthetic oil too but I don't think that affected the mileage either way.

i was gonna switch to synthetic too....but i change it like you ever 1.5 months or 3000 klms....so from ive been told its not really gonna have any benefit to switch....as far as rims go, i havent seen any nice ones out there that wud look good on the 4runner.....but if you find some, and wanna sell your stocks let me know i wudnt mind havin another set. good luck
 
- try a better drop in air filter

- i want 18's too... if im gonna get them, they will be the TRD ones

- changing to synthetic will be one of the best things you will ever do for your 4runner. less wear and better mpg.
