Time for new lower ball joints?

Is there a parts number list for the ball joints and correct replacement bolts (guess that's all I need assuming the castle nut comes with the LBJ) from Camelback that I can reference?


My son and I are going to do the LBJ's on his '97. Going to do my 2002 and wife's 2000 after that!

Start soaking that rusty hardware down with some PB Blaster today - that main stud may give you some headaches. Good luck.

Good advice I did that last night but still waiting for parts to arrive so I'll soak it everyday till then.

You know, you sound a bit pretentious in the way you said this. Just saying.

With that being said, my 4runner is in very good shape with no rust in the body at all. With Canadian weather there's always going to be some under carriage rust.

That's a good question. There was a recall on I believe the 01's and 02's, it was official so they must have done something different.

So, look it up and check it out.

That's true. It was due to some of the ball joints possibly getting scratched during machining. To my knowledge, it's the same part #.
