The fronts will look lighter because the amount of light that comes through the front windshield and sunroof (if you have the shade open.) Im getting mine done tomorrow.

not necessarily. there is good quality film with a lifetime warranty that may just have a very slight green hue to it.

decide to post some pics of my tint that got done today...I just had the fronts done. The tint matches from the outside pretty good. Inside you can tell the front is a little darker than the rest. It's 20% in the front, factory in the rear. Makes a big difference in this 95 degree heat. I'm glad I did it.

However it looks like we are getting pretty close. If you want to nit pick my truck you could say my windows don't match, but 99% of people would never know.
BTW the my avatar was taken before I tinted my windows. I was playing around with photoshop to see if I wanted to go with a lighter tint up front or try to match the back.

Ok bad choice of words on my part, its not greener, I can't really describe it. Maybe my super neat camera can get a picture of it. Its just a shade darker, looked green at first but now its just darker. O and it is 3m tint.

My front tint metered at around 27%. Stock rear tint metered at 30% -- which was slightly darker than my tint shop expected. Anyway, here's a pic showing the difference. Pretty good match, i think.
Your tint looks good and nice choice in color. Can you take some pictures your bug gaurd up front? Iv'e been wondering how it would look on the BP. I already have had two rock chips on the windshield!
What film is that?
Most window film rejects 99% UV.. That's not new. The reason darker film works better at rejecting heat is primarily due to less light getting into the cabin. Ceramic films offer more heat rejection at lighter shades because of IR rejection.
UV protection primarily helps reduce fading of the interior.

I have this installed on my front windshield. It works, you can't see it, and it helps cut the glare of headlights at night. I liked it so much, I added it to all my windshields.

How do you deal with scraping off and re-applying the inside vehicle inspection stickers on the windshield film?
Fortunately, we don't have those here where I live.
Are you able to remove it when you get home (after it's applied)? If you can, could you stick the inspection sticker to a large clear laminating material or similar and then tape that to the inside of the window (don't know how strict your state is with that type of thing)?

I started off with 20% in the front to match factor and wanted it darker, and now I have 5% over factory in the rear, and 10% in the front and love it. It's dark at night (I always roll down the back window when backing up unless there's lights around) If there are street lights or other vehicle lights it's fine, but out in the middle of nowhere I can't see out hardly at all out of the rear windows.
