Tire opinions

I have no complaints what so ever about my load C Duratracs. They've been in mud, sand, heavy rain, gravel, rocks and soon snow. They're light enough for my "stock" rig to bounce over rocks and yet still get good gas milage.

My Grabbers have been awesome, much better at self cleaning in mud than my BFG's were. I have 285/75/16-D and they are lighter than the 265/75/16-D BFGs were. Can't speak for the new design BFGs though... But the Grabbers are still quite a bit cheaper. BTW I've used them in most conditions including mud, ice, sand and snow.

BFG All Terrains for sure, load range E

If your thinking duratracks, Wrangler MTR Kevlars are the way to go.

Duratracks look cool, but that's about it.

I recently went through the same delima, and decided on Duratrac's in 235/85r16. I have a 99 with 2.7l and 5spd. I am very happy with them so far. I have close to 3000 miles on them, mostly DD, but have seen some offroad, dirt, rocks, mud, etc, and they have handled all well. The road noise is very quiet for an offroad tire, the ride (and mine are E rated), is very good, handling is good. I run 32lbs, they ride nice. I can't comment on other 2 tires, as i have no experience with them. And gas mileage is good.

I couldnt be happier with my General's. From what little off roading I do, they have held up great, I just wish I can test them in the snow this year as they are snow tires.

After seeing pictures of lifted 4runners with 285/75's, I'm thinking about just waiting until I get my lift pieced together, and then buying tires and doing it all at once.

Fairly sure I wanna go with 285/75's eventually anyway, so there would be no point in buying 265/75's just to be replaced sooner than later with a bigger tire.

I just recently purchased the BFG All Terrain T/A KO2s in 31x10.5.x15. I'm very happy w/ them. They're pretty quiet for an aggressive looking tire. I think they were quieter than my previous tires, which were the Bridgestone Dueler Revos. As far as handling goes though, I think I would go w/ my previous tires though. For some reason, it seems to grip the road better and I don't have to play w/ the steering wheel as much compared to the BFGs. Again that's just me and both tires were the same size.

Oh also forgot to mention, it seems that I was getting better mileage w/ my previous tires.
